so when I had my Ascend I installed a rom with CM6, heard CM7 lagged on the Ascend....if you are workng on CM9, what happened to CM8? or are the versions based on Froyo, Gingerbread (Honeycomb) and then Ice Cream Sandwich?

Cm8 should of been HoneyComb. But the src for HC has never been released and also HC is for tablets not phones. But yea cm versions are based on android versions.

And partly tables too . I seen some tables with Cm7/9 builds xd

Cm7 is on many tablets, but its not exactly optimised for them. The Cm crew did do alot to make it better on tabs tho.

Just a simple breakdown:
CM4 = 1.6
CM5 = 2.1
CM6 = Froyo 2.2
CM7 = Gingerbread 2.3
CM8 = N/A woulda been HC.
CM9 = ICS

Google released the HC src when they released the ICS src afaik, but is purdy much debunked now since ICS has all the best parts from both GB and HC + more.

I've played with an early alpha. Unfortunately at this point nothing works and the touchscreen is very unresponsive.

Flash one of the existing ROMS for now, CM9 is likely to take a while.

One question to you people, would you rather wait for CM9 to be completely developed and then publish with bug free or for the devs to publish their current unfinished build and then wait desperately for a newer one?
