Root [DEVELOPMENT] SickleKernels For the SV

Simon all the kernels are cross compatible. The Cricket kernel boots the K2_CL. Btw I have the cricket update ported to the boost mobile variant. So boost users can have 4.1.2

Thanks but that's not what I'm interested in. I work in source. I will try to fix recovery soon though.

I believe this is what you want.... The Jellybean kernel for Cricket

Let me know if that's not what your looking for. I will assist in any way possible. I would love to have a custom kernel for my new Jellybean on my One sv.:)

Thanks if it boots I'll use it to try to fix the weird recovery graphics thing. I need source too though. HTC will release that

good day all, so shinru can i flash angry walrus or sicklekernel onto a cricket htc one sv?
Please guys. Don't make me have to get a moderator in here. This is my last request to stay on topic.

Yeah, where's a guy in Red when you need him? :dontknow:

:p ;) :)

We understand some cross-talk will happen as a natural matter of course, but please do try to stay on-topic w/respect to the dev's kernel thread.

Simon, do you want to tag this thread with "[development]" or something? (I can do that if you want or I believe you should still be able to edit your thread title).

Cheers!

So I got bored while waiting on htc to release the source today. So what I did was I took the 3.4 kernel backed up by a cricket user and placed it in the recovery.img the sad news is it didn't fix the weird graphics in recovery. The good news is it booted and everything worked. There will just be some very minor tweaking needed to get the boost Sv on 3.4 fully.

As far as the 3.4 source goes. The k2_ul kernel seems to work fine on the boost variant. As far as I know the fm radio doesn't work on our device with the cricket kernel.

hey guys. So i thought Id leave this here.

okay did a ton of work on the kernel tonight lol.. guess thats probably a good thing as it needed some love. Now has working NFC, WIFI, ect (fm radio only broken) and it has anykernel. so just flash this zip any your supposidly set. ONLY FOR JB

i downloaded both versions (JB only, And the other anykernal one)
i can only install the non JB one with TWRP, but when the phone boots back up, wifi is stuck at turning on. the JB only version fails to install.
Any ideas?

Currently this is an issue in the kernel board files. You all need to help me out and pester HTC to no end until they release the source code for this boost device

Update: jellybean kernel now boots and fully works. Here's what I've done so far

Intellithermal
Optimizations in compression
Sweep2wake
Sweep2sleep
Remove spamming debug code that slows down device.

As always, I'm going to test further before a release. Will probably throw voltage and clocking in before final release

Could you add swap support as well if it is not to much trouble.

If I do, I'll add it as a module (loadable). I'm still testing it all out right now so don't want to introduce too much yet as it may make debugging should issue arise difficult. Right now though, even battery life is awesome

So guys, its time. I have deemed this kernel ready for release! And, for you guys its even better. Its a two part release!!!!!!!!

So, just because its easier on me, here are the links
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.simonsickle.kernelmanager
and
Sick Files

Take the .img file and run the following commands

adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash boot SickleKernelv20-101513.img
fastboot reboot

Now, boot into android and use my app. From here enable s2w (if you like it) and you're good to go!

Bah just left for work. Can't wait to try it after I get back home! Thanks man. You rock.

No problem. Report any bugs you find here... Also the link to market is fresh. If it doesn't work just slowly check back every few hours

The play store link shows this:

Edit saw your post about the play store. Thanks

Simon, this is only for the Boost variant riiiight? I'm afraid that if I flash this, I could potentially brick my phone. I'll look into (trying) to build a kernel for Cricket, which I think no one but me uses.

I know like I said it was new lol. It takes a few hours and Google has it now

Yes only boost. But you won't brick some things just won't work. The reason you don't have a kernel is because you guys don't have source. But don't worry I'm fighting for you guys too
