Root DG is a copy cat

he is claiming this is his rom, when its clearly cvpcs rom, just edited by drew, yeah i since some serious problems coming from this.
 
The guy is just a moron. Cranking out a billion ROMs that are all only minor modifications to others' work isn't development.
 
It's the same source. Nothing magic happens when you compile it; it will have all the same bugs.
 
BTW, it irks me that he says "he" fixed the camera in the next release... he's just using the fix that was already found.
 
dude he is a thief, plain and simple, how can someone actually think you can fool a community like ours by claiming you developed your own cyanogenmod rom, when all he did was change the name? how can you just do that? its unreal. i bet you he will be bashed all over the place for this

And that's why I haven't used his stuff in a long, long time :D
 
OUCH but i know this is all open source and we can make mods and wat not BUT GIVE THE CREDIT TO WHOM IT BELONGS TOO!!!!

and hell we all know who makes CM roms cant fool anyone there lol

Not cool copying somebody's stuff and not giving them credit. That said, we should all be civil about this and not be too harsh, there are ways to deal with these sort of things, and they are effective. On the other hand, say something the wrong way and it can come back on you.
Just my $0.02 you can take it or leave it.

True, maybe it was a quick post and plans on giving credit to those that deserve it. Let's hope so.
 
i dont care what ppl do cause this is all open source the codes are out there for us to use but as code of conduct or unwritten code is to give props
 
his unwritten code is putting DG by everything. other than that its the same thing, he should still give credit to where its due. and bo it doesnt take that long to say thank to cvpcs for the source code as to which was modified

Yeah I know, just giving the guy the benefit of the doubt for now.
 
I don't get this; anyone can compile CMod7. Team Douche even has the instructions on their wiki. I'm not protecting him or nothing; I think he stole Fab's work because poweroverwhelming was a script, not a compiled app but I digress.

There's nothing for him to Kang here if he built it own his own. There's also no need for this knee jerk reaction; it doesn't do much for our "community". If you don't like his work, don't flash it.

i wonder if people start saying he ripped off cvpcs would he then say this source is cm7 created and maintained by cvpcs and the cyanogenmod team, and then proceed to thank them.. but who knows :p

hey bo lets rip off fab, decompile apex, then edit words in there, maybe change a few pics, then recompile it and call it the saiyan rom :p

I think the very name of the "Rom" indicates it's origins. Anyone flashing a "Rom" with Cyanogen in it's name should know where it came from.

I'm gonna flash it and report back on my findings.

yea anyone with a brain can compile CM, but not just anyone can get CM7 to work on the DX. DG flat out ripped cvpcs 's CM74DX and made a few edits n called it his own. And if anyone cant see that they are blind n a fool.
