Root Difference between Blitzkrieg & Plague Kernel?

Does anyone know? They both seem very similar. I know that Broken Out is a rom that add a bunch of stuff like native screen shot, build.prop tweaks, removes carrier name from pulldown, etc etc.

On the other hand, plague has Kanaida's homeless tweaks, and sdcard read tweaks. I tried combining them, and flashing plague over other roms. I can't really tell the difference yet since all this is happening at once.

So... What's the difference? Anyone know?

well like u sayed broken out is a rom and. plaque is a kernel theres the difference , there both r different.know if ur talking about plaque zvd kernel and blitzkrieg kernel is really hard to c any difference at this moment u need to run a full day with those different kernels to c the difference ;)

This.

Your not gonna see a difference just from a 12 hour test.

You need to test these kernels over the span of at least a week or two to see what they are about.

Noticed two differences with the kernels.... with blitzkrieg, my network speed dropped (according to speed test app), and i didnt watch my battery drop by percentage, it actually stayed in the 90 area for an hour with 4g browsing at 1ghz. With PG's kernel, i saw average network speed sometimes a little lower than if i used the speed kernel, but i could physically watch my battery percentage drop... massive battery drain, especially on 4g. I could browse for a few minutes and fine myself at 87-9% from 100.. but that was with the original zvd kernel that had broken wifi. Have the newer kernel that fixes it flashed right now, gonna see how it lasts.
Unfortunately, i have to see the battery life at school. -.-... anyway, thats my experience with the kernels so far. Ill post more when i get home today if people want me to.

What was your CPU setting on both of these?

Look at the change logs
Blitz:
OC/UV Kernel
Overclock to 2.1ghz
First Boot is Set at 1.0ghz
Modified Undervolt to help battery
Added Smoothass and Smartass2 Governors
Added SIO I/O Scheduler
Added SLQB Allocator
Added SFB Net Scheduler
Changed From JHash2 to JHash3
Added ZRAM Swap (To Turn on Use Terminal Emulator, Type "su" to Gain Root Access, Then Type "zram enable" )
Added 2-Way Call Recording
Included tun.ko Module
Other Memory and Performance Edits

Plague:
Overclocking up to 2Ghz
underclock settings
SIO support
TUN support
Interactive, smartass2, lagfree governors added
SDCard Read Speed Tweak
Homeless Battery Saver settings

So, they both have overclock and underclock setting, both have sio i/o scheduler, both have tun support both have Smartass 2 governor, both have the SDCard speed tweak (I know, I didn't put that in my change log lol), and according to PG, ZVD source has 90% of the Homeless battery savings stock now

Differences:
Plague has:
Interactive and Lagfree governors added
The remaining Homeless settings

and Blitz adds:
Undervolting
Smoothass governor added
Added SLQB Allocator
Added SFB Net Scheduler
Changed From JHash2 to JHash3
Added ZRAM Swap (To Turn on Use Terminal Emulator, Type "su" to Gain Root Access, Then Type "zram enable" )
Added 2-Way Call Recording

Also included in Blitz was an audio boost tweak, mainly for in calls, if it worked, I don't know, but if someone can let me know that would be great!!!

2 way recording - that's pretty cool! But doesn't the ROM need to support that as well as the kernel? Which ROM (if any) make use of that?

Anyone know if any of these kernels support voodoo sound? An what app can be used for call recording??(didnt even know that was possible)

Ok, now I'm even more confused as the the difference between these two kernels and now roms.

youll most likely save more battery with mts rom and kernel, but pgs would be more smoother, faster.
homeless settings dont really matter now since lgs zvd stock kernel has most of them in it already.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you come to that conclusion? I'm looking at both changelogs, and it looks like the exact same thing. The only difference in the rom seems to be that PG removed Terminal and ADW Launcher, added Rom Toolbox, with the Black Chrome Theme. It's not listed, but from the screenshots posted, it appears that CenterClock mod is in his rom as well.

I don't know if their init.d and build.prop files are tweaked any differently, but the features in both kernels look the same to me. The only difference I can see in the kernels are mainly things that I don't really understand. but I know that the SDCard Read Ahead Speed tweak is for advanced users who partition their SD cards which I don't need, and I have no idea what CIFS, ZRAM, SIO, etc do.

Maybe a discussion about what build.prop tweaks or init.d changes are most optimal for different needs. Just like the rest of us, I want my Esteem to be perfect for what I need, and so it'd be nice to know what those differences are.

mt's kernel has stuff mine doesnt, mainly cause I am researching to see what mine doesnt have his does does lol. Build.prop n init.d tweaks are the same, term is included in BP, I just didnt list it. I didnt include ADW as you all can install it if so desired and ppl complain when I take LG Home out lol. Center clock seems to be there, but I did use mt's modded framework files n just edited em for my rom. ;)

its been like that on past versions.
there isnt much of a difference since they really pretty much have the same things.
my battery has always been the same on any rom lol.
its just the matters of looks now. which i like mts, with lds theme right now till ld does it for pgs rom. both of these roms run smoothly.
