Root Digital roam

[cammykool]

Okay do its like 1AM and I got up for some water and I lay down and check my phone and I see I have this grey blinking triangle and instead of virgin mobile I see digital roam what is it doing?

[brotherswing]

It can't find a native tower, so it's roaming by connecting to a different tower. Possibly there was work being done on your regular tower. Are you still in roam?

[cammykool]

nah things seem to be normal 1 bar and 3G

[benslgdroid]

It's free don't worry about costs

[cammykool]

But what is it doing. Is it like connecting to Verizon or sprints towers?

[brotherswing]

Yes, that's exactly what it's doing.

[cammykool]

But VM doesn't support roam

[benslgdroid]

Yes it does. It's part of your plan.

[cammykool]

Now I'm REAILLY confused

[nitestalkr]

As far as I know, vm never supported roaming... unless they've changed their roaming policy recently.

[cammykool]

Thats what I'm going off of. VM doesn't support roaming

[Atma]

"With Virgin Mobile, there is no roaming. No roaming means no roaming charges."

[brotherswing]

Also customer from another carrier can't roam on VM's towers, however VM customers can roam on another carrier's towers.

[cammykool]

Atmazzz proved me right. No roaming

If you try to Roam I think it sends all sorts of red flags into the air,and the V doesn't work to well.
