-Install the launcher you want to use
-Make sure it's the default launcher (reboot and it should be what loads up first)
-Use the included Root Uninstaller to remove Go Launcher Ex, the 2 Ice Cream Sandwich Themes and the related Go Launcher Widgets
 
I am having a lock up problem when I try to use ringers in my /media/ringtones and /media/notifications folders on my SD card. The ones I want to use are in mp3 format

Do you ringdroid? If you don't download it and you should be able to make your mp3s into ringtones.

don't know if u can just drop mp3s into those folders. check out ringroid app from market (or whatever its called these days) u can play mp3, resize if u want, then save as notification, ringtone or alarm. the file will then be accessible in whichever programs sound settings

As a point of reference I am not having this problem, I use go sms to set mp3's as ringtones and it has not given me an issue.
 
I never had a problem with mp3's as my ringtones on the stock system...

in fact all 6GB of music are mp3 on my phone. I use audacity in linux to make clips of my favorite parts of songs(mp3) and just drop em in my sdcard/media folder and I never had any problems.. I have like 6 or 7 different ringtones, that I made assigned to different contacts

in fact android/linux (android is linux) will read ANY format of music WAV, wma, mp3, oog, even iOS' m4a

it should work just fine.. mine does

I think I know what the problem is. Chevan made a mistake and deleted the stock music.apk after deodexing the rom and that caused the problem with bluetooth.. and I'm not blaming chev, the only reason I know about this is because they are having similar issues with the music.apk in CTMOD for the prevail. I suspect that is the Issue and I will look into it further.. we may have to build from scratch to fix it but we will if thats what we have to do..
 
webworker... I noticed you had other issues as well.. maybe you had a bad flash.. It's happened to me more times than I can count.. I would try re-downloading shevron-ver.5.1 and flashing it again. I'll pm you with some advanced instructions to insure you get a good flash when I get home from work tonight
 
Ok so i try the install for the first time rom 5.1 wipe all data made sure no extra rom left overs like data lost.dir and the two others. i try to restore with unzipped shevron 5.1 it says md5 mismatch each time i have treid. i am going to try 5.0 and update to 5.1 but if anyone has any info to help i would appreciate it.
 
Ok so i tried to restore ver 5 and same thing md5 mismatch cant install either rom from a stock rom i restored from star-scr0m to stock then tried to restore ver 5.1 and ver 5 treid pretty much every way to do it from this forum thread.

I had the same problem so i transfered the file to my laptop. Then unzipped it. The put it back in clockwork folder under backup. Then wpie and restore. I had to do mrreerom like that as well. I dont know why but it works fo me. your welcome

Figured out my problem with custom ringtones, I had frozen the 2 DRM system apps and it was preventing MP3s from loading in any app including ringtones.

I still cannot use my email app (which I need for exchange email and calendar integration) I have K9 installed for the interim, but it doesn't sync as realtime with my company's exchange.

Also still have the problem with the battery indicator being really hard to read and the patch messes up my notification bar.

I do have version 5.1 installed.

having some problems with getting the e-mail app working still

disreguard that patch.. it's not for your version.. I'll give you another one as soon as I get a min.. Been working on some big development for the TU elsewhere in the forum..
