Root {DISCONTINUED}MegaTron 6.2.5 (Updated 7/13/13)

I have a question, i was browsing the app store looking for live wallpaper for shits and giggles(mainly bored) and downloaded jumpgate just to see it work. Installed it and tried to select a live wallpaper but got no option to select a live wallpaper no matter what way i tried. Was this feature removed in previous versions?

Yes the live wallpaper.apk was removed in MegaTron. If you would like to have that option, download the removed apk zip from the op. Find livewallpaper.apk. Copy and move the apk to /system/app then reboot. You will need a root file explorer like root explorer to do this. Don't try and install it yourself once you move the apk and reboot it will install itself.
 
Where do I find that at. I generally never put removed apks back into my from so I don't where exactly where that would be? Could u point me in the right direction. And thank u for responding

No a problem. Always here to help. Just go to the first post of this thread ( generally called the op). There you will find, the files needed to download MegaTron. Also if you scroll down you will find the file called removed apk. Just go to the first post of this thread.

Ok so I have a feeling either I'm not posting my questions in the right forum or nobody reads em!! Lol So if so could someone please direct me in the right place!! But I'm currently running megatron 6.0.4 and have been for some time but I did come from CT mod!! And I must say I do enjoy it better and I can use QPST now!!

Anyways first I have to ask if its possible to access our native hotspot and usb tethering?? It worked great on ct but I can't find it on megatron??
also if possible can someone tell me what I may have tampered with to mess up my data,and/or how to fix it?? Its blinking the 3g and the apps I download say I'm connected to the network but I get either a "web page not avaliable" or the "boost says no internet for u" screen!! but widgets work ok and google will load on the browser no problem!! Any explinations for all this??
But mostly what can be. Done with this thing?? I use the anycut app to play with settings all the time!! How can get guidence for the cool things I've seen in there like dial-up network settings,or all the diffrent radio settings!!! Can we use gprs with this phone?? Now I know its a cdma phone guys but my sim state is ready and I found this websiteHow to unlock Samsung M930 Transform Ultra - sim-unlock.net saying we could use a simcard specificly with this phone!! And we could carrier unlock it!! Google isn't being very friendly with answers lately either!!!

So once again guys if I'm asking the wrong questions in the wrong forum I apoligize!! And if someone could give me some answers and/or info I would greatly appericiate it and possibly one of those giant light up arrows that wiley cyote uses from the ACME company to point me in the direction of the proper place for my questions if it isn't this forum!! Thanks a bunch guys!!

I can not speak intelligently on most of those subjects but with your 3g settings, do you remember what you changed? And how you changed them,( hidden menu, or other apps)?
 
Thanx nite at least someone acknowldged me!! Anyway I mess with so many settings and push buttons its rediculous!! Lol the sprint hotspot and usb tethering used to work on ct mod but they haven't since I installed megatron!! I have screen shots of both somewhere in the stu forums!!

I've messed with everything to turning my radio to diffrent modes to my apn settings!! it runs data in the background great!! And widgets!! I'm tryin to fix this fast cause unfortunetly I don't have wifi everywhere I go!! Any ideas or leads would be great bro!!

And did you check the link I posted??? They are talking about our phone right?? I'm not just pulling this s**t out of the air!!! And I know for a fact you can put the phones radio into gsm/cdma duel mode!!! Theirs a bunch about this phone I've discovered that I don't see in the forums or on google!! I can't even find out exactly how our phones connect to the mobile broadband?? Or how to use a proxy or vpn!! I've been lookin for weeks and nothing but bs!! I can't seem to find any good info
 
Unfortunately this is WAY out of my league. The only thing I have learned is here on the forums and a couple of other places. I have not changed much by way of radio except changing the Vocoder to 4GV which has produced better data speeds and the fact that my EVRC-B is now enabled. As I remember correctly, it was always disabled. I would be more than glad to go through my settings with you if you want.

First off to get your phone and conection backup and running, im gonna give you instructions on how to reset your entire phone network wise. Dont worry nothing on your phone will be deleted in the process.
First off open the terminal emulator app on your phone it was provided as a system app in megatron.

1. Type in "su" (for super user access)
2. Type "getprop ril.MSL" (then enter to get you Device's MSLcode)

Do it exactly as seen above make sure the MSL is in caps at the end.
You will then get a reply with a number, thats your msl code it is an important 6 digit number.

Now its time to reset your network

Go to your dailpad and press the follow buttons as seen in quotes here.
"##72786#" pound pound 72786 pound

When your done you will be asked for your msl code, enter the 6 digit number you got from the terminal emulator. And then you will be prompt with a yes or no question. Select yes and your device will auto reboot. When its booted it will start the reactivation process within 5 mins, if it does not i want you to go to settings-> about phone->system updates and select update profile. It will take a good 2-5 mins to complete once thats done reboot your phone and your phone has been refreshed completely network wise you should no longer have any problems with data.

As for the tethering feature, it will be added in the next megatron update.
 
Thanx for the info guys!!! I just downloaded a system info app tho that says I don't have the aproperate APN Settings!!! If someone could provide thos id be greatful!! Also did anyone read the link in my post?? Is that our phone they're talking about?? Id like to know for sure!! And if it is can we use this phone in a duel radio mode?? Where would the sim go tho?? Or do we have to convert the hex and dec into an imei?? It says my gprs is active!! Is gsm 2g?? And where could I go in search of answers if not the forums?? Google isn't giving me S**T!!! What's up I'm tryn to crank this baby to the max!! I had it crankin at the 1.901 over and 460 as my min for about 35 mins playing diablo on the fpse!! I wish playstation loaded that fast and that smooth!! Plus with the ps3 stick!! It ran fine!! A little warm but no ramdump or powering off!! I love this little machine!!
 
The APN settings are tricky to get to at least for me!! But then I got any cut and made a direct shortcut to them!! Its funny tho because every time I looked at them the circle beside them wasn't ever green to this very moment!!! And yet my 3g still always worked!! I just gotta find out what I tweaked in my apns and put it back!!

You need to install the live wallpaper apk from the removed apk package in the begining of this thread :)
 
?? Hello agian... my sd has failed idk what happend but everything i put it in says i need to reformat. thats not my problem. I was able to get it to work in a pc. made a backup.. formatted it..i tryed to reinstall my backup..says sd error. i tried copying cwm backup files over but cant mount sd card in cwm. My ? what would my next step be?? can i reinstall cwm. ill go back to stock and start all over if i have to :( but dont wanna.

OK, been using Megatron 6.0.4 pretty much since it was released. There are so many things I like about the ROM, but a couple which are particularly bothersome. Apologies if these have already been discussed:

1) Can't reboot without removing the battery. If I use either the quick menu or the power button to do a reboot, the TU will sit at the boot screen indefinitely.

2) On occasion, I can't answer the phone. The phone screen is displayed, but no amount of swiping will answer the call.

Anyone have either of these issues? Are there fixes?

It sounds to me like you need to do a Reinstall of MegaTron. Always Wipe Cache & Dalvik Cache before installing!

Or maybe you did a no-no & installed Apps from a different Rom with Titanium Backup? Only use Titanium Backup for the Apps that are associated with MegaTron, or plenty of problems will occur!

All of the apps were installed from Google Play. I'll try a reinstall.
