Root {DISCONTINUED}MegaTron 6.2.5 (Updated 7/13/13)

ok we need to backup but does it wipe the phone and we have to redo everything or is this just a tweak?
nvm read the log doi btw it says chage log 6.1.0 ota isnt it spose to say 6.1.1?
 
Love the new font in the main menu of settings. So much easier to read with the smaller font.

But the update did uninstall my on screen keyboard. Just have to redownload it. No big deal.
 
the ota downloaded then it rebooted to recovery like it said, what im I suppose to do when I reach recovery? I thought it was going to do it auto.

not sure what to pick option wise?

Not sure what to put back on in the first place but I did try putting this on:

LatinIME
Gallery3d
LiveWallpapers
LiveWallpapersPicker

I followed directions ,putting the apk's in the system/app folder in megatron_appinstaller.zip then putting that in the sdcard root folder.

After booting to cwm:
1.install zip from sdcard
 2.Choose Zip from sdcard
3.Megatron_AppInstaller.zip
4.Yes - Install Megatron_AppIn

It says install from sdcard complete

I reboot but dont see the apps
what im I doing wrong? and are those apps everything I need?

Ive tried several times and its not putting them on phone. Im I doing something wrong?

Should I try to install them through regularly, clicking on the app?

Hey chev, one thing I did notice and don't know it anyone else but the quickpanel apk --- every so often, the icons will actually get larger or smaller. One day they all fit the screen and the next they won't (I only use seven icons). Plus the font on the words will do the same, sometimes it wont fit their individual spaces. Plus, the color of the icons will get "fuzzy" at times then clear as a bell others.. No big deal for me... Just something I noticed.

Clicking on the apk will not install. These apks are not your normal apks as they are part of the system and not third party apk (such as facebook).

Just put the apks you are needing in the /system/apps. Then reboot phone. It will install on its own.

Awesome, thanks. :) I'd have hated to get the latest version of my theme all put together only to find it was incompatible.

At a minimum, you need three apks for the livewallpapers:
1. Livewallpaper.apk
2. livewallpaperpicker.apk, and
3. the apk that contains the live wallpaper (bubbles.apk, strictly as an example - I don't think there really is a bubbles.apk, but it gives you an idea)

Quick and dirty instructions: All three need to be installed using CWM or the method nite suggested (CWM is safer, less likely to cause the phone to act wonky and doesn't require a restart after the install, side-loading lets you know that the apks are FOR SURE where they need to be). To use a live wallpaper, use whatever method you choose to change the wallpaper, and live wallpapers should be one of the possible selections. I been gone from this form for 2months miss the heck out th is rom Chev u and the guys did a wonderful job on th is rom i move to the sgs2 its a great phone also just miss the excellent Help u gave me keep up the great wrk

I dont believe the themes are operational. Because of new update to 6.1.0, and an update to the theme kitchen. Themes will be coming out that are compatable with the lastest version, just taking a little longer to cook.
