Root {DISCONTINUED}MegaTron 6.2.5 (Updated 7/13/13)

My phone has been shutting down and restarting in the middle of phone calls.
it does it , I call back it does agian, and so on

not sure what the prob is , is this something known thats being worked on? or is this something simple to fix that i can do on on my end?

I did everything per instructions, so im confused on what might fix the prob.

Thanks
God Bless

Can you tell us if you are overclocked or not? If you over clock too much, it can cause issues like this. Plus, check your battery. If the battery is swelled at all, its time for a new one. Had that same issue only months ago.

I havnt overclocked,

what ya mean by the battery being swelled?

A couple of months or a month ago I was having an issue with my phone shutting off even though it was fully charged. Also noticed the backing fit differently.
After the phone shut off I turned it back on and the battery level would say (ex.) 18%. Shut the screen off and turn it back on several minutes later and the battery level would read (ex.) 25%. Took the device to Sprint Store and they took the battery out and was able to see the battery had swelled, or look fluffy.
Take the battery out and hold it level at eye level. If you can see any "hump" then the battery is degraded and time for a new one.

hmmm is there another way other than going back to stock?

I like the rom, dont want to have to flash to stock.

I may get another battery, ive been thinking of doing that anyway, cause its all most 2 years old.

Just to be sure it one or the other. But to me, from the issues I had, it does sound like the battery. But maybe something didn't flash right and corrupted. That's why its always a good idea to flash back to stock, wait a couple of days to stabilize, see if the issue continues, then flash the rom again.

I'm gonna flash 6.1.1 here in a bit. Hopefully it will go smoother than 6.1.0 did. Had to flash it twice because sound didn't work the first time and I never could get Netflix to quit its perpetual buffering.

Still, this is a great ROM and that's why I've stuck around. A huge thank you to the development team for taking the time to put it together.

+1 for the battery issue...

mine swole up also about 4 months ago. Phone wouldn't boot at all unless the charging cable was hoooked up and would only stay running until the battery got hot and then reboot randomly.

Went on ebay and ordered two aftermarket batteries with a bit more compacity.
Stock battery is 1500mah
Aftermarket battery is 1910mah
2X 1910mAh Samsung Battery for Samsung Transform Ultra SPH M930 AC USB Charger | eBay
Been using it for about 3 months and they work great. Battery life averages about 2 -3 hours more than when the stock battery was still good..

So got the update installed last night (Forgot to mention that I reverted back to 6.0.4 after 6.1.0 was giving me fits). Anyway, netflix is back to being stuck on the load screen. I've tried rebooting, uninstall/reinstall, clear data and clear cache. Thought someone here might have some suggestions.

I'm having the same problem with Netflix, it just sits on the loading screen forever. I restored my stock backup and it works fine. Maybe I'll try 6.0.4 tonight and see if that works.

Ok so, if I decide to flash back to stock I would rather flash to say the 2.3.6 updated stock ROM that has root. because it was at 2.3.4 and that ROM sucked

where can I find that ROM? I seen it somewhere I just cant remember.

Before I have to do that though I'm going to keep battery at an almost full charge and see if it will shutdown/restart.

I don't see any bloat to the battery but but that doesnt mean its not going bad, I have noticed however that its not holding a charge like it used to.

I bought the phone when Bestbuy got it in, in my area so its around 2 years old give or take.

Anyone having a problem with installing the removed stock apps can use the System apps installer in the the Play store.

If you gather the apk you are looking for, copy them to /system/app (need some kind of root file explorer) them reboot. Those apks will install themselves.

OK about the shutting down issue I was have, I have been keeping the battery above 70 percent and have not allowed it to really heat up , I've keep WiFi off and data off and I haven't had the shutdown issue since, but I haven't really used the phone for calls to much either but, im fairly certain its prob battery issues and not the ROM.

Im going to start making a lot of calls on it, to see if I can get it to shuttdown but like I said and others had suggested its most likely the battery, prob from over heating.

I love the ROM guys keep up the good work

I have a question about themes, I was wanting to try some themes I found, but I have to flash them if I do.

Is there anyway to remove them once there flashed?

I love SciFi themes , like star trek or others. I just don't wanna mess up the ROM
