I'm obsessed with my backups. for most things I use Titanium Backup Pro. closest I've seen after testing many, to the one click easy holy grail of backup programs, is ClockworkMod recovery. whether you're on stock ROM or flash custom, a clockwork mod recovery is a must have! in less than 2 months it has saved my bacon four times! lol

More problems have arisen for me. I dl'ed 1.0.4 via OTA, turned my phone off and went into recovery a few times. But each time it would go to a black screen and not CWM. I figured CWM got messed up when I finally got 1.0.2 installed so I went to 2nd Init recovery to flash it again when it gave me a black screen for that too. So I rebooted again to go into 2nd Init recovery again, but rebooting put it into 2nd Init recovery automatically. Now each time I restart my phone it goes straight to that and won't let me flash anything from internal storage. I hope I don't have to re-flash all this stuff again!!

Here is a tip, it worked for me, when you boot your phone holding down volume and power buttons, as soon as you press the power button to confirm entering recovery press and hold down volume key until CWM appears. Good luck.

Hey Chev, love your work. Can you point me out to how to disable the noise cancellation mic? I try searching in system buil props but no luck. People say I sound like a weird robot but when I cover the NC mic with tape I sound normal.

You Can't, i already have it disabled in version 1.0.6 so just hang tight, should be coming any day now.

I just installed 1.0.4 and it appears 4G LTE is not working at all. I can't get a data connection in LTE/CDMA mode but I can get a data connection in CDMA (3G) mode. I have tested this in a known working and high signal strength LTE location. The stock rom did not have any problems with connecting to LTE. Is there a setting I can change in the mean time to get this working again?

have you done a PRL and profile update on your phone. it fixed my 4G LTE
go settings -> system update-> then do updates

I know with us cellular the update number is *228 I don't know about boost though.

I had this issue before. I kind of think this should be a sticky.. or at least in the OP just in case someone else might run into this problem...

Can I change the font with jrummys app without a problem?
Also is there a possible tweak to prevent boost throttling in future updates? maybe in the system folder you can find throttle folder and change the permissions of the files in that folder? Im not so sure how the throttle system works but I would be I'm heaven with this phone and your rom without that worry. once again thanks!

not too important, but I think the CRT animation might have something to do with the tinted status bar, cause it works every time when I'm on my homescreen/lockscreen. anybody else notice this?? or just me...

if you have xposed framework get a mod called xblast tools. there is several different crt animations to choose from. Also if you add xui mod you can choose from a myriad of different animations (list, ime, system, etc)

How to Overclock your Optimus F7

Open the Voltage app and slide the toogle all the way to the right to OC to 1.7ghz. you can also mess around with what governors you want and how it will affect or phone in performance/battery.. *Google it*


How to Update via OTA

When you get the OTA notification go ahead and have it download the update. Once its done the app will ask you if you want to reboot and install it. DO NOT allow it to reboot your phone into cwm cause as well all know, it will wipe your data. So when the download is finished what you need to do is power off your phone and manually boot into cwm using the botton method. Then navigate to the OTA Update folder select the zip and install.





Enabling Tether
Open Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot app and set your desired settings. Next open the Wireless Tether App and tap on the big green Wi-Fi icon, after that you can connect any wireless device to your phone.

Swap Support
How do you know if its working? Open Es File Explorer and navigate to /Cache if you see a swap folder inside then swap is working and you have an extra 500 mb of ram regardless of what any task manager says. If you look at the image below, the line that's starts with "Mem" is the actual amount of ram this phone comes with 793mb and at the time i had used up 723mb of it leaving 70mb of it free. If you look below that and look at the line that starts with "Swap" the amount of 499 *Basically 500mb* it used 61mb and 438Mb of it was free.

You most definitely can stop tethering. Check it out.

1-make sure u have ur data disabled or in airplane mode

2-go to root explorer

3-change r/o to r/w(at the top of the screen.

4-Navigate to Data/System

5-Inside Data/System you will find a folder named "Throttle"

6-Long press Throttle folder and select permessions

7-Change permissions to Owner: read and execute only, everything else should be unchecked.

8-when ur done with that press ok and go back to the Throttle folder

9-there should be two files in it(sumtimes only 1,and thats ok too)

10-delete the files from the throttle folder you are in

11-Back out of Data/System to the first menu you were in when you started root explorer

12-change r/w back to r/o

13-exit root explorer and reboot

14-once your phone is up and running,turn your data back on,then your good to go.

you should notice a increase on a speed test. if there is no change you can go back in throttle folder,if those 2 files are back then you prolly missed a step,just go and do the process over again.

i was only getting an average of .26mbps on speed test after i got the text from boost

after the throttle fix im back to my average of about 1.50mbps.not super good speeds,but where i live it good for me cuz the max for me is about 2mbps. A HELL OF ALOT BETTER THEN .26MBPS.
Like i have said a couple times already in this thread..MY CHICKS INCOGNITO GETS BETTER SPEEDS THEN THAT! And thats just SAD AND A DAMN SHAME..
