Help Display Question

I noticed something about the display and I dont know if thats normal : When you press the power switch the screen sorts of 'unsmoothly' dims first and then turns off. Is it normal or just my Fascinate?

Yeah mine does it also. It should be considered normal.

I noticed that when light conditions change - the dimming of the phone isnt smooth either. It just jumps between brightness not fade into it.

I am using the power saving settings in regards to the backlight/led/whatever. It's not smooth. It is a bit annoying, but I'd rather save some juice now than have my screen blazing bright all day long.
