Well thank you! I try..Trident=the greatest ever.

The recovery has nothing to do with OTA updates.Well Trident how about this question.
I had your velocity Rom by using Drellisdee's Recovery 1.2.2
However I took it back off until your froyo velocity comes out. I flashed it back to my Nandroid of my original phone. So I have a multi question. Will having Drellisdee's recovery on my phone block OTA updates? Will Having my old Rom nanadroid ensure my ota froyo?
My guess is yes I will still get the OTA because the recovery system from drellisdee is just like in the bios of a computer and really does not have anything to do with os updates.
Thanks Bro
After I installed the first Motorola Droid 2.2 update, I was shocked to find that my recovery had been flashed to the stock recovery.. now this doesn't happen with all phones, but theres a decent chance that Verizon could pull the same thing with the Ally.Woah,
You can install a signed OTA update and retain your recovery image?
Correct me if I am wrong but isnt the recovery rooted?
If the recovery stays intact than you should be able to perform an OTA update, reboot into recovery, open a shell to your phone, mount the necessary filesystems and push over the SuperUser.apk
I was under the impression that the only things you need to be "rooted" is the superuser.apk file and the su script in the correct locations.
