Do not use the OTA.

Can't blame the people man, its a faulty update that has been pretty much hit or miss with a lot of people so far.

That seems like a pretty big assumption..

The handful of people having issues are always gonna be louder than the vast majority not having problems. I've been running this same update for a number of weeks with nothing but positive results.

I spose I should start a thread titled: 'OTA working just fine'..

So my phone when I did the OTA. I let it sit and didnt touch it. I let it go through its update unmolested. THe phone wouldnt stop rebooting or the data work unless the phone was plugged in charging. So tell me I screwed up the install. I think I know how to do things like this. Its not rocket science.

Go ahead and make your thread. After all its your right. The update has been known to be buggy since the leaked version came out what a month ago.

My replacement phone the update has behaved better on it., I only had 2 random reboots. If I have another I will do a factory reset to see if it works like some has posted.

But better to warn people about the buggy update so they can be prepared for possible issues. I will say my problem was the worse I have seen happen to the phone. just like with my droid1 wouldnt update to 2.1 it would just stay on the M logo.

I love how people thinks just because they haven't had a problem. then everyone else possibly couldnt have any problems.

Nobody is saying people aren't having problems. I think what Ibrick and I are saying is that the problems may have to do with other variables and not the update itself. If the update is faulty because of bad code, then all of us will has these issues, however that's not the case. There are many of us who have not had a single issue with this update. In fact, my phone is performing better than before.

Quick question. For you folks who said VZW is sending you a replacement, is this through insurance or do they backup all of their products that well ?

Lol....I can't even get the update. And at this point I dont want it. Many people are having issues, but hey this is VZW people. The same people that delayed this phone for months because of a piece of Fruit...oh well.

If you get 10000 people out of 5 million having problems then its not a problem. It's ten thousand people bitching or trying to shut the phone off or playing with it well its updating.

Are you saying that most people on this forum don't know how to install an OTA software update?? Those are fightin' words here Sir!
