Do You Have 4G LTE?

Myrtle Beach is the last major market in SC that does NOT have 4G. That's sooo annoying. What's worse is that our 3G is very hit or miss right now. Get the dreaded 1X far too often. I've been told it's so that they can update the old Alltel towers to the current 3G. Doesn't exactly sound kosher, but whatever. I used to have awesome 3G anywhere in MB. So I'm very much hoping to have 4G soon, to compensate.

What's funny (and perhaps sad) is that I'm going to Disney in less than two weeks. I've def been looking forward to it, but what I'm really psyched about is having the Bionic in my hands in a 4G area. I'm such a phone nerd. lol

Glad to know I'm not the only person to have terrible coverage when in Myrtle Beach. I'm from the Conway-Myrtle Beach area and have had bad service in spots for the last 6 months or so. I will be likely picking up my new Bionic at Costco on Thursday hopefully when I'm back home in Myrtle Beach, so won't have the chance to try 4G LTE until I'm back in Columbia on Monday. Hopefully Myrtle Beach gets 4G LTE sooner rather than later.

I live in the west suburbs of Chicago, about 30 minutes or so from the city. So yes, I have 4g coverage where I am!

I live in Chattanooga, Tennessee and we have 4G. I was wondering about the tower upgrade here a while back. Well that and we had some serious tornados around here in April. The cell coverage around here went from great to really bad for a while. I chalked it up to the storms but there was problems before that also. I think that they may have been in the process of upgrading some towers before the storms.

Hmm, our friend lives in the Wilmington area and I know she gets good LTE coverage there. Sucks that MB doesn't.

Anyway, DC here and I know we have good LTE coverage around here. Still can't friggin decide on the Bionic. My damn Droid has been completely acting up lately where I can barely use the thing. And, I have all of Thursday morning off before work!!

Yeah, everyone around us has it. We're now on an island of 3G/1X amongst a sea of 4G.

You're def not the only one. I think all of us on Verizon are noticing it here. Used to get great 3G coverage here. We seem to think we'll have 4G by January. Least that's what we've been telling people.
