Root Do you think Mik will do a ICS Rom for our EVO?

well mik does not really do aosp roms so i think that he is waiting for the evo 3d or other htc phones with sense to get the ICS update. Then as with other devs we should see an ICS rom from him. But i have not heard of anything as of yet.

HTC stated they were going to be trimming a lot of the fat to their new lineups. They plan on releasing less phones, but have each phone they release be better. They're trying to cut down on re-packaging the same phones like a lot of companies do.
The HTC EDGE (i believe they changed the name to endeavor and now the supreme) is supposed to be the next big thing they release. Complete with 1.5 ghz quad core glory.
The expected announce date in the rumor mills is Feb 26th.
There should also be the Primo announced around the same time

the only thing i heard is that sometime this quarter. so it could be soon. there has been no official date that has been released.
all i can say is patience my friend, patience. the goodies will be here soon.

Thanks for the update guys! I can not believe I have had my EVO for over a year and I have no desire to upgrade. Its been the best phone I have ever had. I have been traveling allot for work and the ability to theater 4g, has been a life saver in the hotels that want $10 a night for wifi. Plus its still a speedy little machine.

I know what you mean. I have my family's EVO's rooted and running MikG 3.0. They are both due for upgrades but decided to stick with what they had. ( my dad originally wanted to "upgrade" to an iphone, but I convinced him that would be a step backwards)

Gru over on XDA is already working on an ICS sense rom. It's still in the testing phase so apparently it's not ready for public consumption.
@Dan, prelude's ICS rom is the best for my phone. All of them are good but it looks like development has been slowed for kernel reasons so who knows if we'll see a stable ICS rom for the EVO anytime soon
I second that! Had my evo for over a year and a half now, and there just isnt any other phone out there that I really deem any better, I think my contract is due to be renewed in july or august, hopefully there will b something worth upgrading to by then, otherwise, I'll b squeezing as much outta this evo as I can.
