does anyone else think that there is a second pre applied screen protecter?

today i took of my screen protecter and it looks like there is another one under it. has anyone tried to take off this screen protecter or know what it is?

I'm not being disrespectful here, but why the hell would they apply 2 screen protectors? If they wanted it to have double protection, they would have used thicker screen protectors.

But as I always say...I could be wrong

If you took yours off, why not try taking the "second" one off too? You could end up ripping the screen off, but it's worth a try :D

Yes i know it sounds stupid but its just that if you look closelly on your x10 if you have one, it seems like there are two layers of glass on the front, and i saw a thread on this on the internet but no one actually answered the question so i decided to ask it here

It's not clear if they took off one they had applied not knowing they already come with one, like me taking of the one I applied to find it's got another I was unaware of.

I don't understand what you're trying to say

When I bought my phone, like a lot of users, was unaware that it already came with one applied, so stuck on another, but had I not realised and took it off for whatever reason and noticed it seemed to have another, would probably be asking what gherre is.

Ahh I understand now. It seemed to me like he was asking if it was pre-applied with 2 screen guards, but I may have just misunderstood. He did say the link you provided answered his questions, so I most probably did misunderstand

Sorry gherre, I misunderstood.

When I bought my first x10 the repons of the screen was not good, and i was disappointed.
I red on some danish android sites about the factory fitted protection.
Several x10 users took them off, a bit difficult, but they found the screen to have a mutch better respons after taking it off.
So,,, I did the same. And I also found the respons off the screen to be much better, and I will never regret taking it off.

+1 on that - still got Sony's stock protector and an invisishield on top - no issue - except lock screen but that is always buggy regardless

I just joined to say thank you for this info!

I just removed the pre-applied protector with a pair of tweezers! The protector is quite a bit thicker than I expected. I've had the phone a couple of months and didn't even know it was there. Duhh...

My girlfriend asked me recently if there was anything I disliked about the phone and I said, "Yeah, I'm sick of wiping the screen. I didn't realise my fingers were that greasy!"

Immediate noticable improvements are:

1) Screen response is much better. No more 2nd and 3rd attempts to swipe the unlock 'arc'.

2) Far less smudges and fingerprints! (The main reason I removed it)

3) No more dust particles around the edge of the protector. Looks just that little bit nicer.

I know some people feel better having a protector on it, but I've always looked after my phones and never seen the need for them. I don't see the point of having a protector that shows scratches that otherwise wouldn't be visible on the 'scratch resistant' screen. So, er... thanks! I like my phone even more now!

Hi.

Lets hope you don't live to regret it, and bare in mind something I can't reiterate enough, it's scratch resistant, not scratch proof.

Yeah, I'm aware of this. As I said, I look after my phones and have never had a scratch big enough to notice. And the next upgrade is never THAT far away! But thanks...

I also look after my phone, and i still have not got a scratch on the screen. After more than 6 months.
Honestly,,,,one of the sites in denmark that test phones, made a comment on his test saying (sorry for my spelling), that after removing the screen protecter he would go 1 point up in his review.
I am one of the girls saying that i love beautyful designed gadgets. My x10 is definetly one of that kind. I would never put som sort of case or protection on it. It has to live on its one. and it does, without extra screenprotection. (i am sorry for bad spelling)

Me too, but like I said on the other thread I've had two incidents which could have led to a damaged/scratched screen, granted one of them was my fault but so so glad I do have two on now.

Each to their own and all that. :)

Ha! I never realised, I've got another screen protector on it then!
I got one because my screen was getting a bit scratched but is that not on the screen but on the sony screen protector? If so I can take that and the other screen protector off and put on a screen protector that doesn't get scratched (like the SE one did)
