Root Does deleting bloatware using T.B. save space?

So I just recently rooted and tried deleting a few apps (Amazon MP3 and Sprint-Football) and went to go see what kind of space was saved, and it shows the exact same amount of space on the internal storage. What do I do to permanently get rid of the entire program and its underlying files?

Thanks guys!

Ugh ok, I've read through the Gingerbread Rooting guide and didn't think a ROM does that. When you flash a Rom you delete all the underlying programs?

I thought rooting and flashing would take like 2 hours, but this seems like a day+ process

unfortunately bloatware is tied to the system partition so it only makes room in the partition that is set aside for the rom.

so like frenchy said i would flash a custom rom like mikg. it has all of the bloatware removed.

Once you've downloaded the ROM of your choice, along w/ making a nandroid backup, you're looking at a 15-20 min. process...TOPS. Flashing a ROM will more than likely take less time than that.

You're much more sophisticated than me, it's taking me more than that time just to fine where to download the ROM. :(

No worries friend, start here. Also, we pretty much have a dedicated thread for every ROM available. If you take the time, you can see all the feedback about that particular ROM from the AF members that have flashed it.

Could merely use Titanium Backup to freeze the unwanted Apps/Bloatware as first step. If any of them contain needed files/code, could then merely unfreeze. If all well, then delete.
