Does is bother you the EVO SD card is inside the case?

Have you run out of SD space yet?

I have lots of music and apps installed. It took no time to fill up my 8 GB card. Sure, I can buy a bigger card for $$. But, I have extra 8 GB cards that I'd like to swap out on an as-needed basis. With the EVO, I have to power down, remove the battery, swap cards, and power back up. This is PITA!

The Epic has an external SD door where you can swap out SD cards without powering down. I hate sliders, but the accessible SD is very nice.

"Does is bother you the EVO SD card is inside the case?"

Nope. Bought a 32 Gb $49.00 card and am doing just fine.

A little. Not so much behind the case but behind the battery. I did get a 32 gig card but transferring through the phone is slower than in my card reader.

Two things they absolutely have to have for the next Evo are hot swappable memory card ports and 8gb internal memory for installing apps. Apps to SD is just a kludgy workaround.

No. Picked up a 32GB for $49.99 shipped. Not only that, it's a tiny bit more secure under the battery and not so easy for someone to pull it out in just a second.

I think since only 2-3 people want the location of the SD card moved, HTC should leave the location alone. Go get an EPIC. A vast majority of people either buy one SD card and never touch it again after installing. However, an 8gb card works just fine for a lot of people and they never have to remove their card. They put the card behind the battery for safe keeping from elements like dust and water.

Where did you guys buy a 32gb card for under $50?

Well, you see, about a month ago there was this one day screw up on the Verizon website. I think it was supposed to be $99.00 shipped but a bunch of us got it for $49.00 before they 'corrected' their mistake.

Yeah....agreed, this is the best option.

Unfortunately, I'm in a situation where I need to swap-out multiple cards daily. At the end of each workday, I need to leave the SD card with the data I acquired at the office. I then insert my personal SD when I go home. Not convenient when I have to remove the battery.

I love the EVO, but need to find a better solution, otherwise I

Coming from a 32 gig 3Gs, I am used to non-removable storage, so no big deal to me. I am used to plugging in to sync up, and the EVO with the "hidden" SD card is not any different in that regard.

I'm not bothered by it, in fact not even slightly inconvenienced. I haven't taken my SD card off ever since I replaced the stock 8GB to a 16GB. :)

after buying that 32gb for $50 from the Verizon screwup, I'll most likely never have to access it for the life of the phone.

the thing about swapping sd cards on android, especially froyo, is that some apps that rely on sd card will mess up every time you swap

I also have the 32gb $50 Verizon card. I have no need to touch my card. I like where its at. Almost forget its even there. I think its a good place for the card.

Since I don't really put a lot on my phone it doesn't matter. If they made a huge 100 or more GB micro-sd I'd switch it out once, but after that I don't really care.

I just don't like how the sdcard is soooooo small... I have to really be careful when I try to remove it....

dang seems like everyone on here got that screw up but me lol. ive been looking for a decent deal but nothing. Prolly gonna have to wait for black friday or something

I would never switch mine on a regular basis even if I ran out and had a bunch. I really don't like switching memory cards.

The only thing I'd really fill the device with would be music, and there's no sd card capable of holding it all. And I can't stand splitting my music collection.
