Get so hot that the screen and apps freeze up and sound quits? Mine does even when im not overclocking......are the thermal controls as good as they should be on custom roms?

Never happened to me.. the only time it heated was when I left it outside for a bit.

My phone starts to get hot if I'm charging it, and the air from the fan isn't hitting it. Super weird. It heats up whether I'm using it while charging, or not.

My Esteem use to heat up 110 degrees when I first got it. After I rooted it and starting playing with the ROMs, the most it will go up to 102 degrees but it's extremely rare even at heavy usag like texting, playing games, GPS, music etc, etc..

When I tether it gets warm but I guess that's normal on all phones.

Yeah mine runs about 86 degrees and when Im charging it might get up to 89/90 degrees but usually never over that. Of course thats no oc'ing. 77 is wicked good though! Do you underclock?
