Not sure really. I guess it depends on how much he really ate. I'd call the vet but mostly just watch for trouble. Bad dog! Hopefully it'll pass and that will be that. Bad dog!
just thought maybe if someone was on here, could offer some immediate advice.
He also swallowed a squeaky toy once and it sat in his stomach for 4 or 5 weeks at which time he puked it up.
When he used to do these things, the vet's advice was to give him a tablespoon of mineral oil to lubricate his insides and watch for whatever he ate to pass. It always did for us, but every dog is different.
If the vet needs help I'll send Tickle over, she's great at finding balls!!

Thanks, but just our luck to have a non-standard dog. After external examination, the vet couldn't locate the missing item, and he'll need an ultrasound to see what the situation is, plus a more complex operation.
