7.44 gave me some issues as well. I have been on 7.45 for about 12 hours so far and I haven't had any issues so far.
Did you use the kernel wipe in post #1?

Hi Ironass, yeah always run the kernal wipe script, install new kernal, reboot into recovery then fix permissions. I'm running stock 4.0.4 so it's just the kernal I've been playing with on my phone. Went back to 7.43 and all is well so not sure what is playing up on 7.45 on my S2. If you have any other suggestions to try I'd be grateful![]()

Kernel 7.46 is ONLINE!
Now read this 2 times!
This kernel is beyond any known kernel for Android devices!
I have updated the SCHED CORE to 3.8.RC5 last update!
Alucard updated the CPUFREQ code from 3.8.RC5
So, if some OLD ROM will be broken, i cant help! UPDATE already!
Tested on SAMMY ROM and RootBox 3.2 AOKP works great!
CM10.1 ROM is broken with my kernel, WIFI bugs and others,
So i hope it's will be better now, if not.. well i hope it will one day.
When CM do some more fixingthey always do, and that is great!
Change Log:
*ROOT (SuperSU) updated to 1.04 and will replace any other by auto.
*Kernel Sched Core merged with 3.8.RC5 kernel main line. (70 Commits!)
*Kernel CpuFreq code merged with 3.8.RC5 exonys part.
Now CPU voltage is lower by default on each freq! so be careful with UV
if you still do that! that is NOT SUPPORTED! dont post about it.
*Fixed HOME KEY restore (for JB SAMMY ONLY!) if switching to other kernel via RECOVERY.
*Tuned All Profiles.
*Alucard tuned and updated! Nightmare GOV to be something Awesome!
it's very powerful and low draining=(on idle!) if used it's give you the smoothness that you like, it's tuned based on profiles.
*Fixed ICS BOOT stuck! now BOOT.
*Added Auto Fix to EFS partition holding the important Device files. if it's get broken, you loose signal + others things, now it's will not happen.
FIX will be auto when you load RECOVERY and only if needed. no user input required.
*Added CLEAN RAM CACHE button to STweaks Memory TAB. it's can clean very fast all cached RAM, it's will be filled slowly again.
*Restored normal color for Recovery.
*Reduced Logger allocated RAM and restored PMEM = 4MB allocation for ICS and JB SAMMY, it can improve stability, we lost 2MB of TOTAL RAM.
*Removed broken sched_mc_power_savings it's was 0(disabled) and was holding huge code! now it's out! and battery drain is very low.
*Updated Sensors Code from JB SAMMY Kernel.
*Ported MMC code updates to support 16GB+ cards from unsupported vendors, now should work. thanks to AndreiLux!
also should help with sdcard error detection.
have fun and report

7.46 does not seem to address the crackling sound issue?![]()

Just suggesting that 7.46 fixes/tweaks didn't fix this up, noting your suggestions on a workaround etc. thanks for your support.... I think.

no point in bringing it up unless it says in change log its fixed right?

Maybe that's how things fly over at XDA, but we're a bit more relaxed about such things here.![]()

Dori 7.47 is now up:
Kernel 7.47 Power BETA online!
Please READ change log x2!
Change Log:
*Updated WiFi ....
... *Cortex FW tweaks set PING blocked or allowed! nothing more.
if you need ping open uncheck the cortex fw and reboot.

Strange!
After a good night on NEAT ROM LSD, amended, full and PhilZ kernel, 4.22, I thought I would give Dorimanx 7.47 a go. Used the GS2KernelWipe and flashed Dori kernel, which started to boot but went to a black screen after the Dori logo and just sits there. If I touch the soft keys, they illuminate but nothing else. Re-booted into Recovery and manually wiped cache, dalvik and fixed permissions before re-flashing Dori... same result!
Anybody else getting this?
(Syd... you haven't put the K.o.D. on it have you? :vamp: )

TBH, I have not found, for me, either Dori 7.46 or 7.47 that good. Have been getting all sorts of wakelocks and poor battery life.
I may just give the, "master", gokhanmoral a go... if you haven't q u e e r e d-the-pitch!
Update... flashes Siyah v6.0beta4, OK!
You really are a cultured, well heeled sort of chap. Never heard that one before, like it
