Help Double Screen Lock?

After updating, my screen has the slider lock now on top of pattern lock. is there a way to disable this? its getting annoying.

Mine did not have the slider lock with my PIN lock before the update, but now it does. I think I manually removed it back when the PIN lock was forced on me (via an exchange email policy). But, now I don't see a way to removed the slide lock.

Hmm mine did that before the update...not sure if you can disable it.

mine would just go straight to the pattern lock =\

i think my phone has an option to enable/disable. i don't remember but i just want the lock to go away..

Same thing here. Throw in Widget Locker and I now have 3 levels of enterning! There used to be a setting to turn off the slide lock but now it appears to be gone. I hope someone proves me wrong. :D

Funny i had the slide lock off before update. Now i dont have the option to turn it back on. Just Pin, Pattern, Password.

This sucks. So basically I am stuck with either no lock or two locks. How on earth did this update get delayed forever and then have such a basic bug! Makes you really wonder what morons do the testing on these updates.

is it even possible to have only the slider lock? i just want one lock screen. sigh.

I was wondering the same thing. Had the slide lock disabled before installing the OTA and the option for it has completely disappeared. I can only get it when I enable some other security measure and having both isn't ideal.

Does anyone know if Locker Widget will give the ability to go back to 2.1 functionality, ie no slider lock, but keep pattern lock?

They have gone from both locks or no lock, seemingly without the ability to separate the 2 lock styles. I posted this a few weeks ago and so far have not found a work around.

I now use the slider, then pattern and have gotten accustomed to this...

If you just want a slide lock and nothing else, it doesn't seem like 2.2 gives that option. (LAME!) Get WidgetLocker, and disable the stock lockers. You can now have JUST the slide lock, AND the app allows you to change your lockscreen background to whatever you want and add widgets to it as well without unlocking the phone!!! Worth the $2.

The only problem with this is that my work's IT policy is we have to have a 4 digit security code that comes on at a maximum of 10 minutes. So in my case, I can't totally disable the security lock built into the phone. Before 2.2, I could disable the slider and have Widget Locker as my slider and then after the 10 minutes of non-use, I would only have to enter my 4 digit security code. Now I have a 3 step process!

Someone mentioned that widget locker was showing up as a third lock screen!

EDIT:
(It was RickB who just posted as I typed this post!)
BTW, RickB, I'm in the same boat as you w/ the exchange lock screen. My favorite thing is that while locked my bluetooth headset doesn't work. Unlocking TWO screens while driving isn't making me happy.

Ouch! That sucks.

LOL. It's not the end of the world and I am getting used to dealing with it but it just seems kind of crazy that they would go and change something that was working just fine as it was. Perhaps there is a good reason for them doing it. :D

I was able to fix the pin lock issue by deleting my exchange email account and then adding it again. After doing that I was able to go into settings, security, and set up screen lock and disable it.

This worked great. Based on the message in "security", I was under the impression it was being forced on us by Verizon.

I just have the initial swipe to unlock the screen active but if you what to have a "password", go to settings/locations & security/Set up screen lock. There you can establish a Pattern, PIN or Password security to unlock the phone. If you had a pattern enabled prior, this is where you can turn it off.
