Root Downgrade H-boot 1.15 or 1.19 for S-OFF

I tried that with no luck. So then I tried the unbrick tool once or twice. It said it worked but it didn't. But then I tried the manual method of downgrading the bootloader starting at step 11 (that's the first step after making it a brick). I got to the step where it was flashing hboot 1.12 and halfway through my phone lit up with the HTC logo! The rest of flashing hboot 1.12 failed, but my phone is alive again. I only have 17% battery so I'm going to wait until I get some more power until I see if I still have hboot 1.12 or any bootloader for that matter. My external SD card got wiped somewhere along the way, but I'm not too upset about that. This is where backups save the day.

I'm pretty sure you can always recover it if you know the steps to reload everything. The guys on xda bricked it tons of different ways and were able to recover each time.

EDIT: I really need to read the whole thread before posting, LOL. :p

Was the sd card wipe from lazy panda or the hboot downgrade?
Reason being if it was from the lazypanda attempt, just rerun lazypanda. It will fail, but it "should" restore the sd card contents.

Mine restored 3 or 4 times out of 6 unbrick runs.

If you got stuck in qualcom download mode while running lazypanda, go to the guide and look up the unbricker section.

You can ubbrick, its really easy. You'll have to run it in ubuntu, which you've already got up and running.

Trust me, the unbricker has 100% success with a failed lazy panda. :)

I think it was LazyPanda. But I've gone too far to have it restore. It's all good, my backups saved me. Just gotta go get a few songs and I'm good as new.

Final update: I am indeed S-Off now. With LazyPanda 1.12 hboot. I am so darn happy to be S-Off again!

NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

now go and get your flash on:D

Have you updated to the 1.12.222 hboot?

Yes indeed. I was freaked out for a second when MeanROM wouldn't flash. I thought I had failed somewhere along the way. Then I read the Mean op and it says you might have to downgrade your twrp. All is well and working 100%. It feels good to go from Jelly Bean to Sense and back without having to fastboot flash my kernel
