Downside to purchasing through Wirefly?

The live chat at Wirefly has to be the worst I have ever dealt with. It's like talking to a robot that only has to choose a response out of a list of 10. I wonder if they even read the question or as soon as they see a buzz word they select response #2, "Unfortunately the Evo is out of stock." Today, I wanted to know if and when they ship my phone, if they could do it so that it will be here on Monday and not on Saturday. Couldn't answer my question b/c the phone isn't in stock?

The guys like Ari do help out with the frustrations of the live chat.

Their live chat help desk will be the reason I never use Wirefly again.

Silverace, we are always looking to improve our customer experience at any level we can, and appreciate your feedback. If you could, please PM me with your order number so that I can ask our Customer Experience team to look up the chat to help us make changes where changes are needed. Thanks for your time, and thanks for choosing Wirefly for your EVO order -- we hope we can win your business back in the future.

Hey guys I ordered on the night of the 10th and just got an email that mine could be shipped early next week, so hang in there and sprint waived my activation fees!!!

Also I wish other wirefly employees were as helpful as wirefly_Scott, thanks for keeping us updated!!

Hang in there guys!!!

got the same email earlier today as well will let you guys know when and if I got my phone...I'm hoping by wed/thursday of next week, I did pay for the over night delivery.

Got my evo from wirefly on the 8th. Now have a problem with a bright spot on the lcd and separation of the lcd from the bezel at the bottom and the right side near the volume buttons. What are my options for getting a replacement? Do I go to a sprint store or do I have to call HTC? Wirefly exchanges have to be initiated within 14 days, so i am too late there.

Question to Ari or Scott. How does Wirefly handle phone insurance? I know that Sprint charges around $7 a month and it's pretty comprehensive. I baby my phone, but I'd like to have a "oh crap" plan, just in case. What is Wirefly's monthly charge and what's covered?

Also, any idea on when you might see more EVO handsets? I know you are probably just trying to fill outstanding orders but I'm hoping to get one soon. Thanks!

Hey jonhcox, you can choose to purchase device protection through our partner or through Sprint. You can find more information on the plan Wirefly's partner offers here: Wirefly Device Protection Plan by MDPA | Wirefly Learn.

Unfortunately, while we're making great progress in getting all of our outstanding orders fulfilled, we don't have a solid estimate on when we will be completely out of the proverbial out-of-stock woods.

...and glad to see everyone's orders are beginning to hit FedEx! Enjoy, and know that we greatly appreciate everyone hanging in there!
