Downside to purchasing through Wirefly?

I have ordered to wirefly twice before and both times i have had great service and no issues.

Scott
My contract with att runs out on july 11. I am planning on paying the ETF and switching over my family line with 4 phones to sprint for the evo. Is there any specific way i should do this, for example call att and tell them i am cancelling and need to port my number?

My ETF comes to 195$ and i have to pay this billing cycle ending on june 11? Am i correct in thinking that. I ordered through wirefly there isnt any fee that i have to pay since i am past the 6 months period right?
slylust, if you order a new Sprint account with a request to port your number from att, you'll be all set. ATT should close the account if it was the only number on the account. You'll owe nothing additional to wirefly.

Thanks, sorry i am asking all these questions last second wasnt planning on getting the evo since i have to pay 195$ to att.

I have a few more questions is there a direct customer rep number i can call other than the 5529000, hate having to stay on hold for a long time

Is the trial period/return policy any different with Wirefly than directly with Sprint?

As I follow the website, the trial period, if purchased through WireFly, is 14 days, verses Sprint's 30 days.

And there is a limit of only 30 minutes voice used, as opposed to no limit with Sprint's store purchase (though I assume you pay for the minutes used). This seems very limiting. I might have use it for a week at home/work, then go to the common weekend spot and easily be past the 30 minute level by that time.

Is that correct? For a new account?

Thanks.

In the first 30 days, your purchase is covered by the Wirefly Satisfaction Guarantee, which means if you want to return or exchange your EVO, you need to do it through Wirefly (we include a prepaid return shipping label in every box). We do require that you notify us in the first 14 days and when your phone has fewer than 30 minutes of voice usage. After the first 30 days, you are covered by Sprint's normal equipment policies. You can bring it into the Sprint store for equipment issues, same as if you purchased it from a Sprint store. Extended device protection is available as well. You can buy the Device Protection offered by Wirefly with no deductable, or if you prefer Sprint's monthly device insurance program, you can add that after your phone is activated.

That seems like an awfully strange policy.. I'd imagine 95% of buyers are going to use 30 mins of voice in the first day of ownership. Why does your policy differ so much from Sprint's policy?

I'm glad this came to my attention now and not after I placed my order, this is cause for some concern..

There have been a lot of questions about shipping timelines for those who select Standard free shipping from east coast locations. The red area in the chart below reflects FedEx's expected Ground delivery times from our east coast distribution center. The red area is their 1-day area, where a Saturday delivery is possible -- but not guaranteed.

You can read about the Wirefly Satisfaction Guarantee here. We are proud of our satisfaction guarantee, particularly when compared to other electronics retailers. Return for any reason with no restocking fees and free prepaid return shipping.

Somebody on slickdeals says the phone through wirefly will be $199, they found a page with price. Either somebody internal knows it and posted, or its just an assumption.
I was hoping for a little better than Best Buys price, since the Berry Bold is same price at BB, and the Hero is actually cheaper at BB than wirefly. And Best Buy already has their HTC info up, just cant order it yet.

So is there potentially Saturday delivery to Watervliet, NY (15 minutes north of Albany, NY). Better yet, what's the address of the distribution center?

Same here, 30 minutes in 14 days = 2 minutes of calls per day? WTF.
When i used Wirefly last time, i wasn't worried about their return policy because the phones weren't untested new to market phones. I knew what i was getting, this time with EVO, its a bit different.

I guess it is midnite Eastern time now, I have ordered my last 2 devices (Blackberries) from Wirefly, never had any issues. good delivery, good prices.

Happy Hunting this morning. I am still waiting until next month for the Dell Streak, hopefully 2 of them and Wirefly will be my first place to shop. If they provide the best price they will get my business again.

**Change the local time on your computer to any hour after midnight Friday June 4th for the phone to be available for purchase on wirefly.com**

My order is in! Did the $7.99 for 2nd Business Day Shipping. Great price! No CA taxes!

I setup my Wirefly account with a different email than my Bing account. I hope the cashback goes through correctly.
