Dragonball Z[TV]

But cell had saiyan dna and wouldnt he get stronger after every fight he lost?

But what if Cell fought Buu but then exploded and regenerated then had the super duper powers of Buu and absorbed SSJ3 Gotenks + Kami. He would super pwn. Geeeeeez. Nerdfest up in this b**ch

Yes, it its a major nerdfest up in here, but you know it is great, I love dbz talk, I would do more but doing this on my cellphone, isn't that easy lol, that and being at the bar talking to my buds about dbz

does anyone think they will revisit the DBZ world with the same writer? or a new writer??? if so i wonder how they will integrate the DBGT Series into it, considering goku traveled with shenron to train, would they allow vegeta to be alive??
or would they use the dragonballz to revive all the fallen Z Fighters....

Love me some Dragon Ball.

Personally, I've always been a Gohan fan for whatever reason. The way I understood it was the series was supposed to revolve around Gohan after the Cell games, but long time Dragon Ball fans couldn't have it not centered around Goku. Kinda understandable if you were a fan of the original series/manga.

That is what I heard as well. To many people got upset about Goku no longer being the main character so they had to revert back to him. I think that was stupid because the only way he could last so long is for him to be wished back as a kid. Also, why did Vegeta not go and train with Shenron as well. Why did only Goku go. I would have really liked to have seen Gohan do more in the series, especially after going Mystic. He could have had so much potential to have done more. Imagine if somehow he was able to go SSJ after going Mystic. I know the Old Kai stated that he wouldn't need to anymore because he reached he full pontential, but imagine if somehow he was able to push past that point and go SSJ as a Mystic. His power would be incredible. Now I know what some people are going to say about how he did do that in the DBGT saga but I just want to say that the DBGT saga screwed that up big time. He never really did that even thought the DBGT saga showed he did. If he really did, he would have been much stronger then the way he was in that saga.

I started by watching DBZ, but pretty much ignored most of the original Dragon Ball. Just seemed too kiddie (not that DBZ isn't, but not nearly as much so). After DBZ pretty much went missing from the air for a while, I looked for it online. Decided to go ahead and watch Dragon Ball from the beginning. I found a new love for the genre, how different it was when Goku wasn't this all powerful being, just a really strong kid with an awful lot of potential. And then DBZ comes along and he dies a few episodes in. I was like, WTF?!

So I understand why people didn't want the series to shift to Gohan. Still, they didn't have to pussify him. Same goes with Vegeta. As long as one has the other, there was always the need to push themselves farther, achieve higher and more. They have this limitless potential that, imo, makes them the strongest characters ever created.

Also, I never really got into GT, for the same reason as most of you. It just got stupid, and really got away from what made the series so great. First of all, Goku as a kid was a stupid idea. I don't know why Pan had to figure so greatly in the story, but would have like to have seen what she was capable of. I loved that they achieved a SSJ4, and really loved how they used Oozaru Goku going Super Saiyen to achieve it. Still, they messed up too much that I just skimmed through most of the series.

Still, if the did create AF, I'd be all about it.

Out of curiosity, I know that they brought back DBZ onto television, but is it the same shit as when I was a kid? because they always go "New" episode

EDIT******
nevermind, just read it's dragon ball z remastered in HD

With diff voices. It's like trying to watch the Ocean dubbed version. I just can't do it.

i was reading some of the dragonball af comics, and let me tell you, if that comes into production(doubtful) i will disown dbz lol

it is so poorly written

btw.
can someone answer this for me.
I think i remember this correctly,
during the freiza saga when dende wished everyone who had fallen from freiza back to life, wouldnt every single saiyan from planet vegeta be revived???

im going to have to watch that episode when i get home (because i have every episode of dragon ball, dbz, and dbgt, so im going to have to go back and watch it, and if it is said that, i think i may email the creators and ask about that "wish" and then they can develop the story around more saiyans visiting.

Own DBZ (favorite series) on DVD. Own GT, too, but regret buying that. Maybe I'll name my next son Trunks or if I have a daughter, Android 18.

I havent watched any DB stuff since I was younger, and then it was only dragon ball and DBZ, (last I remember seeing was the android saga) whats a good point to start back into the series, since it seems like a ton has changed.

oh and vegeta>goku, goku is very lucky and kinda just stumbles into the right situation (at least how I remember it)

I think the beginning of DBZ where Goku and Piccalo join forces to stop Raditz is a great starting point. That's when Nappa and Vegeta fight them next. From there, it all leads up to battling Frieza.

in the earlier series yes
in the later series, lord no, once goku ascends to ssj2, vegeta is left behind, and goku held back his ssj3 ascensioin from majin vegeta so that it wouldnt infuriate vegeta so much he would destroy the earth, that and to make it seem like vegeta stood a chance.

in GT saga, goku is just unstoppable, until omega shenron comes out, but regardless, goku has a natural ability to surpass his last experiences, vegeta struggles.

maybe one day the writers will make vegeta stronger than what he is.

cause think of this:

vegeta fights goku (the strongest in existence) and goes toe to toe, but will eventually lose.
vegeta fights cell and gets man handled
goku fights cell, as a warm up then quits.

its not right how weak they made vegeta, but i guess someone has to be 2nd at all times

Sincerely doubt DBAF would ever actually be a show. It is a fan made comic that has no ties with the creator of the show (also read somewhere the AF stands for April Fools....).

Read through the first few posts in this topic debating Goku and Vegeta...let me just say I love Vegeta, but the arguments presented are kinda weak. Vegeta was stronger than Goku when he was in his normal form, yes. However, when Goku goes Kaio Ken, Goku becomes stronger. This means that Goku was stronger then. Would you say that Piccolo was stronger than Freiza and Freiza had to transform to a new level just to stand a chance? No. Freiza was stronger. He always was. He just wasn't using his full power. In the same way, Vegeta had more power than raw Goku, but that was raw Goku, not Goku at his full power.

SSJ Vegeta vs SSJ Goku, Vegeta definitely wins. Although I will say that that is the only time Vegeta ever clearly had more power than Goku. At any other point, Goku was always stronger.

I'll agree with the above comment, but will add this: they had a chance to make Gohan (and by extention Goten and Trunks) completely bad ass. I knew things were heading south when they introduced the Saiyaman concept. Maybe they should have just ended things after the Cell games.

So who's ready to see that new DBZ Battle of Gods movie!!! Of course we will have to wait about 1 to 2 yrs for Funimation to make an English dub.. :( Well, I hope it will be worth the wait! What do you think?!
