FWIW: My sister was given her first iPhone, and she took it into the store and said it wasn't working and they replaced it free of charge on the spot. Ever since then, she's bought an upgrade and sold her older phone on eBay / CraigsList for breaking even or on the plus side, never lost money yet.

It should not be too hard to do so with our phones, although breaking even is gonna be hard unless you find someone over seas who wants your phone and is willing to pay whatever you ask for it.

I have other ideas that I am going to try first. I want to maximize my return so if I have to buy a new phone at full retail it won't empty the wallet.

The plan was to sell my Thunderbolt as well, but I'm sceptical of finding a buyer. Imagine I might have to give it away.

Are you kidding? They sell easily at $275+ used on eBay.

Seriously? I'm joyfully shocked. I guess part of the attraction could be buying a phone with no contract. I just hope the buyer won't blame me for the poor battery performance.

Thanks for making me aware there is a market for it. I seriously doubted it

No problem. Some go unsold at $325-$350 asking prices, but there are definitely buyers at reasonable prices. Just make sure to fully erase your data first with a factory reset and wiping any data from the microSD card.

how about an OG droid that has some mild bruising on the corners from pavement drops and a couple of anger bumps?

Screen is pristine, though.

I know this is frowned upon, but I'd like to get back on topic just for a moment (Bionic vs. SGSII):

I knew the moment I put my email address for Bionic on their stupid vzw page that it was a waste of time.

But I just received an email from Samsung announcing the SGSII with their cool video.

Sammy is nicer than Moto. Just thought I'd share.

I am starting to think that by the time one or both of these phones come out that they will be over-hyped to the point of being too little too late and not relevant. They have both been delayed too long and thee is hotter stuff on their heels.

yeah, but at least the Bionic has the benefit of actually being a newly released phone.

SGII dont have LTE.

and we have no idea when it is coming. i will only buy SGII if verizon version is released soon with LTE.

What makes you think that the SGS2 coming stateside is the same SGS2 that was released months ago? The Celox has already demonstrated that LTE technology can go into a phone that thin.

i think im just trying to make myself feel better about sticking with the Bionic. I dont like that the Celox is to have a 4.5 inch screen, but that's hardly a deal breaker.

See, that's why I just spent all my Bionic money. I don't want to make myself feel better about buying it. I'm waiting for Prime! Unless the SGSII comes with LTE, great battery life, at least 1.2 GHz dual core, a 4.5" screen, and 720p HD, which I highly doubt.

I'm waiting for you, Prime! I'm waiting!

i dont think i can wait any longer than september 8th. the primary things i want are a 4.3 in screen, dual core processor, and 4g lte. the Bionic has all those things. although id prefer Samsungs super amoled plus screen, but the qhd screen on the Bionic will do just fine for me im sure.

by the time Prime comes out, i am sure you will hear about some mysteriously amazing phone that will supposedly blow Prime out of the water and is soon to be released.

If you are waiting for the best phone, you will be waiting forever...

i am simply getting Bionic because of it has features that i want. LTE, Dual Core, 1GB ram and 4 + screen. and know that it is worth my money given how it is a huge jump from current LTE phones.

Honestly, I think with the Prime (if it comes out as rumored), will be enough. If it has at least 1Ghz dual core, LTE, 1 GB RAM, and at least 4.3" 720p HD screen, that's enough.

I know phones will come out with bigger screens and faster processors. Quad-core isn't that far off, and I suspect 1080p will be here before next summer. 5 inch screens will be here too. But I don't need that.

If Bionic had HD screen instead of qHD, it would be Bionic all the way. But it's not. I would just feel too much like I'm jumping the gun and settling.

The display is of primary importance to me, followed by LTE. 720p is all I need because 1080p files are too big. And, in my opinion, Samsung has the best screens out there, bar none.
