You could try AmazonWireless: Cell Phones and Plans, they have good prices as well as good exchange & return policies.

Speaking of that, my son got his Fascinate there for a penny a bit ago and I could have sworn that I saw that he was only locked in for 6 months. The contract extended 2 years but it looked like he could get another phone for a penny in 6 months.

If that's accurate I may have to consider what to do. My original Droid needs to go. It's time. I'm thinking Bionic but I don't see why I'd pay $200 for it now when in a few months it'll be a penny on Amazon. I'm wondering if I shouldn't just get a Thunderbolt for 6 months and then grab this later.

Can anyone verify if it's just 6 months?

Do I know for sure that it's more than 6 months? No. But is it EXTREMELY unlikely that this is the case? Yes.

If this where true, every 6 months you could get a new thunderbolt and ebay it.

Uh, I read that review and it barely qualifies as such. People with their Thunderbolt's generally despise the battery (big deal for me) and it has no notification LED's like the Motorola (big deal for me).

I tried out a Bionic at a store today and was very impressed. No problem at all with the display and the responsiveness was fantastic. Plus since I'm used to my OG Droid I'd get the extended battery and it'll STILL be lighter while being bigger with great battery life.

I'm a little confused are you saying the prime our the vigor won't have led notification?
I would have to agree on the thunderbolts battery but an extended battery could fix that problem.

I also tried the droid bionic and it is an eyesore compared to my droid charge. if you watch movies on my droid charge super amloid screen compared to a bionic pentile screen you can will see the difference. the bionics screen is a lot brighter but the droid charge super amoled screen it's much more crisp. Now I must agree the boinic is responsive but when you compare the bionic to the vigor or the prime the biotic doesn't even hold a candle stick to those phones. you would have to be doing 2 things to think so even smokin dope or sniffing glue and smokin dope..lol j/k...the only similarities are the 1 gig ram.that's it.

battery life is a huge deal for me but that's nothing an extended battery can't fix

I'm pretty sure the 6 month rule means that you have to keep the phone on that specific line for 6 months before you can switch to something else. Your contract gets extended 2 years and you cannot get a discount on a phone until that contract is up. At least that's the way I've understood it.

Thanks. I didn't read it in detail and it did seem like I misread it to my benefit so this is good to know.

From what I've read the vigor will have a 1.5 dual core but a hd screen no super amoiled..had anyone read the same thing.it will kill me if its a pentile screen like the bionic....all the weiner specs itse spouse to have with that ugly screen would be a drag.from what I've read the only down side to the vigor is it won't have the ice cream os and no super amoiled.had anyone heard any different.
