Droid Game Pad - Game Gripper

I'm more concerned with the top or screen part of the cover. I don't want it to block the Game Gripper from being able to sit right on top of the buttons it is supposed to. It's very thin though so I don't think it will be a problem.

Nothing a dremel can't solve. :p

But I agree, I hope it all fits. I really like this case and don't want to have to be constantly taking it off.

Well, I got mine today and, while it works well, it slips off way too easily. I am going to try it with my Seidio innocase on tomorrow to see if it stays on better.

With the Seidio innocase on, it fits perfectly. Without it, it slips off unless you hold it against the bottom the screen.

Eh, it shouldn't fit perfectly with a case on... it should fit perfectly as is. This would be a defect if true.

Hi GameGripper,

Could you please tell us which keys are mapped to which buttons on your accessory so we can look into building support for it into our games.

Cheers,
Nigel

From the FAQ -
What keys does the Game Gripper use?
"E" "S" "F" "X" "U" "H" "N" "SPACE" "P" "L" "ENTER" "PERIOD"

For SNES that would mean
E - Up
S - Left
F - Right
X - Down
U - (Right trigger if you want - I left unused)
H - (Left trigger if you want - I left unused)
N - Start
Space - Select
P - X button
L - Y buton
Enter - A button
Period - B button

Hope this helps people out a bit.

Oh, and I already ordered mine - black/yellow (or glow in the dark - whichever) - cannot wait for it to come in!

Ordered one too. Can't wait to get it. Gonna give me lots of time with Mario and Sonic! Sweet! And thanks for posting the Engadget review derek533.

I'm not a gamer. I love the fact that the droid is capable of it, but I just never got that into it. For this reason, I didn't bother to look at this thread. -Little did I know...
60+ posts later, I got curious.

I don't mean to get all dramtic, but...

This is what America means to me. I'm definitely buying one of these. It will make me enjoy gaming on my Droid knowing that it was designed by a regular guy like me.

Maybe you can make a bling bling version with your mad jewelry designing skills.

If that's really the case, then I apologize, wholey. I misundertood your intentions, considering our past disagreements.
I think the design is absolutely perfect.

Reminds me of some rather hideous phone covers I've seen in malls. -I guess people buy 'em, cause I keep seeing them for sale! (Barf.)

Now I can't deny that the thought of making a sterling silver case for my droid didn't cross my mind!

Haha, no I hate those cases that are covered in crystals or whatever they are. A few nicely done diamond accents and some gold trim on a ss case would be sick though.

It really could be done tastefully. Like the cigarette cases of he 1920s.
If they put cigarettes in gold cases with diamond accents, then the Droid certainly warrants such a case, IMO. I used to be a smoker, but c'mon! I've seen some crazy shit. I have actually handled iamond encrusted cigrette cases. Nuts, IMO.

Mine just arrived today, and I love it! Platformers are finally playable, and even my RPGs feel much better with this thing.

An amazing result from such a simple product. I only wish it didn't slide down during use.

ANYONE who games on their Droid regularly needs this!

I got mine today, well I guess yesterday now. I got a black one with orange buttons. Works really well, I just hope more developers start allowing us to map buttons.

What emulators do not? I thought all the Oids and the two MAME emulators do allow mapping? I think the Turbografx one allows it too.

Am I going nuts? I know the answer to that, but what about the mapping? ;)

After watching some reviews on YouTube and reading other reviews, I sucked it up and bought one of these things. I am more than happy to give an average dude with a great idea some of my money.

I was referring to games on the market, not emulators. It works just fine with emulators.
