Ah... A great day of FFB! Had the chance to go toe to toe with my son. He kicked my butt last time we squared off. Not this time by gosh. I see no way he can catch me. I feel good lol.

Must be some really rich farts here to make up for my being broke all the time. It's like all places... you live there long enough and they become home.

My daugher loves it out in your part of the country. Raised here in Ks but migrated with her husband's employment a dozen years ago. They have a place in Chandler and a place in San Jose.. bounching back and forth. Chandler is considered home however. I'll say this.. it's a fantastic place to do Xmas for a Kansas boy.

I love the country from the Rockies west. I was raised in the Denver area but go any farther east and it's just way too flat. Right now, I'm in Utah, but have lived in just about all over the southwest. The area I lived in AZ was more like here in Salt Lake. The altitude was 5300 feet so the summers weren't too unbearable and the winters still got snowy. Never could get used to the heat in Phoenix.

Well Skorpios, that plane crash was about a mile and a half from my house. My power dipped a couple times, but never went out. Pretty scary stuff.

I was going to ask you about that. Glad to hear that you and yours weren't involved. I heard that that is the fourth crash in 5 years there. I've not been to that area, is the approach that difficult? I'm sure the fog played a role in last night's crash if it was even 1/2 as bad as it was here.

The approach shouldn't be that bad. It's pretty flat as you come in to the airport. In fact, a little further out the ground drops off, so the airport is on a plateau. That neighborhood is right off the end of the runway. I haven't read any more about it this morning, but if what they said last night is true, the fog was a big factor. Sounded to me like he was coming in below glide slope and found the power lines, the hard way.
 
OK... just ordered my wife a dinc, upgrading her from a feature phone. That makes us a three android family.
 
Hey my Android brothers, just wanted to poke my head in and say hi. Another rough weekend for me, my Uncle passed away Sunday morning, coming as a complete shock to my family. He wasn't even sick. Unfortnately with my Dad's business partners mother passing and with my Uncle passing I can't go back to Pennsylvania to be there with the family. My Dad is going to be there on our behalf, while I try to get as much work done as I can. Suffice it to say I'll be posting sporadically if at all these next few days.

Good for her. I've been dodging the subject here at the ole ranch myself.
Three android devices here.. wife with a dumb flip phone of some sort... the girls with an Eris and me and my Dinc catch hell sometimes.

Thanks everybody for the kind words, been pretty rough hearing my Dad reminisce about the things he and hhis brother did as kids... I know we'll get through it but it just seems so... senseless and unjustified... at least he's with my grandfather now..

Wow, I get busy one day and look at the things I miss. Sorry for your loss. I am glad to hear that there are good memories being passed around, they help ease the blow. You'll be in my prayers.
