Hiya folks! After a self imposed break from the boards I'm back! And I must take my fair share of shame because my wife just got an ihpone 4 yesterday...
 
Welcome back! My son got one last week. I played with it Friday. I'm not an apple fan but it seemed like a tight build and very responsive. Have you played with it yet?
What is your opinion of the device? I hope it servers her well.

And Olbriar I have played with it and it is exactly the device she needed, easy to use and nothing that will confuse her ;)

Still love my Inc. in comparison to it though

Was my opinion as well. My son has long been in the apple loop.. it keeps him happy and it's not complicated.
 
If any of you incredible friends have an interest, I have started an AF group on Yahoo for NCAAM basketball brackets. Cost nothing to play.. all for bragging rights.

While you were gone I crossed over to the dark side. Rooted and running skyraider 3.5 now. Still wondering if another kernel might improve on the battery life.

Yea I've had to demon it lately.
And I had to pop in here, haven't been anywhere in the forums past month so this thread was one me my first stops. After being such a post whore it seems weird going buddy without being here, not to mention a month. Unfortunately I must continue to stay away..... this is just a quick shout out to say I'm still alive, miserable but still kicking, still not smoking.

Evening all. I just dropped in to bitch a minute. I got my second refurb late yesterday. Today I set it up. All the while I see the battery winking out on me but I think.. well hell.. I've had it lit up for over two hours here.. so I plugged it in and finished up my setup. I pull it from the charger and head out the door. I get a txt so I pull it out and while I'm reading the txt I get the out of battery message. When I get home I toss it on the charger.. I check it an hour or so later and it's completely shut down.. no lights at all. I toss the battery back in the old dinc and now it's charging. Guess I had a practice run on setting up my sh*t. It seems #2 refurb has a charging problem. Guess I'll soon be playing with refurb #3. Note: I was pleased this refurb like the first was an amoled screen like my original. Maybe the next one will as well.

Not fun at all. I hope third time's the charm for you.
 
Thanks man... I appreciate. I charged the battery up in my old dinc.. then I power used the hell of it to drain it in the newest refurb. I turned it off and put it to charge. We'll see what I have in the morning before I go to my VZ store for another refurb. Don't know just yet how I prove the thing isn't charging but will charge in my old phone. Guess I'll just throw a fit lol.
