Obviously I'm beyond having the kids to hand a phone down to. I did read the other day that it wasn't necessarily a wise thing for children to play with retired cell phones because even if the phone is off the call plan it can still access 911. I never considered that.. I guess it's true. Rooting the retired Dinc is an option... just for the experience. I have never rooted a device. However, I'm not at all sorry it sits and rests. It definitely earned it's place of retirement.

Hehe I never thought about the 911 but it's a good price of tech collecting dust rooting it for practice or learning adb would bee a great retirement plan
 
I won't say I'm not tempted.. because I am a little. If I mess with it, it will later down the line.. when the new has worn off the Rezound. I'm still playing with it in my spare time. Installed my first car dock yesterday. I've never owned one. I think I'm going to enjoy it. I have a wireless battery cover ordered to go with the charging pad the wife has under the xmas tree for me. That will be fun to mess with. I've been messing with the voice command texting. It's not flawless but works well. I've been doing some vid conferencing through google talk and the front facing camera. That's been fun. The bottom line is I'm not nearly done playing with the new phone yet lol.

More then Lilly the nexus I. Have played with it and have fallen in love with ICS as i am running it right now on my phone but if the nexus is not by then I will be. Looking at the vigor if and only if permanent root is available for it by then

They will surely get the GN out before Christmas. I mean seriously..
I can't imagine what the hold up is. If I was waiting on that beast I'd be pretty darn upset by now. We live in an instant gratification sorta society lol. Just check the pulse of the poor people waiting... it's not ugly but they are dang frustrated... can't blame them.

No too bad - been busy. The company is moving our warehouse and I'm trying to hire another technician.

Still got my Incredible and running SkyRaider as my daily, though had to modify my setup, I'd run into the low memory too many times so I increased the size of the application data storage to 900MB (a 600% increase over the pitiful storage HTC built into the phone). The only drawback is now I only have room for 3 extra roms in my multiboot setup, which isn't a big deal since I've not had much time to mess with any other ROM is some time now.

Wow. Glad to hear all is well.
I started running cm7 a couple weeks ago and am loving it. Wanted to come off sense in prep for the Nexus.

I'm holding out for Permanent root on the Rezound (still have a few months before upgrade) - GN looks good, but I still love my Sense.

You would hope they would have out by then but you never know all I ain't upset about it as thee thousands of people are who post in the nexus thread man its crazy over there
 
I haven't used anything other than phandroid for quite a while. Lol. I'm gonna have to re enter every day life again I guess.
 
Time to turn off my Incredible's wireless network connectivity and send her off to retirement as a media device.
