Hey guys, I know this is prolly the last thing you would like to hear but...

Galaxy Nexus, Rezound, Razr or wait?

Ive been sitting on an upgrade for about 6 months now and im anxious. The Galaxy Nexus is near perfect if it just had a better camera. And this sounds weird, but I like the girth of the device. I like that is has both a big screen and a bit footprint. Thats where the Rezound is a little lacking. Its a beefy device but not really wide. (Im now realizing im setting myself up for something perverted...)

I like the Rezound but I want something that is well supported and over all I get a "Meh" feeling about the Rezound. Camera looks to be the best out of them all and Im a total audio phile so I like Beats.

I dont know much about the Razr, although I have heard from a number of people that Moto kinda screws over thier customers when it comes to properly working updates and problems.

Or should I just hold out until something a bit better comes around? If I had my choice of any phone, it would be the SGSII Skyrocket. Im just scared that it will be 3 more months or more before a properly speced phone is released. And like I said...Im anxious :P

I sent my Dinc into retirement with mixed emotions as well. I'm sure you two are like me... very happy with the upgrade but still sad to bring to an end a very stable relationship. The Incredible was every bit that... Incredible.

I fell ya man Monday will end my Incredible 1& 2 relationship but I know my inc2 is going into good hands where it will get love and I can corrupt someone's android experience and Bring them to the dark side with the pre rooted phone heheh ;)
 
You are evil wicked mean and nasty lol. To corrupt the unexpecting lol. They will love your work I'm sure. Monday huh? And what is the replacement value for said sold item? Some of the Nexus folks aren't having a lot of fun so proceed with caution. I'm sure their forum is filled with the troubled souls and the happy buyers are too busy playing to do any posting. There is always some rough edges with all new releases and the majority of new posts are complaints. I would expect perfection too if I had waited months like the masses for it's release.

I'm still rocking mine, but I just dropped it and cracked the screen. Booo! I was just about to call Asurion to get a warranty replacement because the one they sent me in September keeps taking blurry pictures/videos and it keeps rebooting. Guess I'll now have to pay for an insurance replacement. Ugh! I'm sick of getting crappy replacements from Asurion. I'm not eligible for an upgrade until August, but wasn't planning to upgrade early as I love my Dinc.

There's unhappy people? I am glad I haven't run across them then. I love my phone. My only complaint is not being able to change my folder to an icon of my choosing. Otherwise I'm a happy camper

I haven't seen them
but I have gotten into the new coding and have it booting on a virtual device So hopefully I can flash it and have 4.0.3 as soon as i unbox it and squash any bugs

The Dinc is a great phone! I still love mine. I retired it but I still love it.
It was the most dependable phone I've ever owned. My Rezound has big shoes to fill.

That's great! It sure is fun to play with a new phone. The unhappy I referred to were the support threads I was reading. No different than the threads you see with most every new phone's release.. I'm having trouble.. this stinks.. this sounds bad.. I have no battery.. I can't get service for squat lol.. you know the posts. I didn't take much stock in them. Typical stuffs. It's crazy in the GN forum right now lol. Talk about traffic. I think my only regret in getting the Rz is missing out on that crazy crowd.

Oh yes I will... I am one in a few that got the nexus for development purposes and I can't wait to see what ICS can actuly do

The post got removed but congrats NA on you new gig! When I find more time, I'll definitely have to spend some of it there.

Still trying to decide on the next phone. I'm leaning against the GN. I'm having trouble getting past the lack of removable storage, though with 32G onboard, it may not be that big an issue. Camera is another point of contention - my Incredible takes fantastic pictures (nearly par to my 10 megapixel dedicated camera) and I've not been impressed with the GN's camera. I've still got a few months before my upgrade for things to shake out. I need to spend some quality time with the contenders before I make my final decision. Whatever it's going to be, it has some BIG shoes to fill.

Dude the storage is really gonna kill me as everyone knows I am on the dark side and flash a new rom almost everyday... and the internal memory is NOT stock portioned meaning if you flash a new from or mod it wipes out everything pictures and music included. Making the nexus for rommers or developers just a phone and not much else

Time is on your side Skorp. No phone is perfect. I still vote for the Rezound but.. it's what I wanted. When you are ready to make the change there will be something making the present three top dogs look like tin cans and a string lol.

Like I said, I'm having a hard time with the lack of removable storage. I too am on the dark side and keep too much stuff in my phone to lose it every time I flash. Thus the GN probably will not replace my beloved Incredible.
 
I thought id check in. My wife and I are still rocking our original dInc's, and very happy!

I am a gadget nut, so it is extremely rare i am happy with a device for this long. I dont even have interest in looking at the new stuff!

Anytime i feel an itch to try something new, i update to the newest CM nightly, takes me an hour to get everything in order .. and im good for another month or so :)

Though i must say im itching for a new device, just not a phone! The new Tranformer Prime tablet looks to be just what im craving :)
