I personally wouldn't be able to deal with motoblur. To me the Inc has everything i need. Plus there will always be that bad ass phone announced right after you get one, lol

) and it came up super quick and I was super impressed. Course than I hit navigation and it started screaming out directions on full volume in the middle of an empty store...I was embarrassed ha ha. Again one question: Does the google maps/navigation cost any extra to have on the phone or use? Like I said, im male and GPS would be a BIG help for me.
. I really like the way the camera performs with close ups and depth of field. Again I wasnt SUPER impressed but for what it was, Im pleased.

Hey guys, quick update:
Ok so I went into Verizon and started looking at the Incredible. I was a bit bothered by the fact that no Verizon rep came up and at least said hi or attempted to help me. But then again I look like one of "those kids" that comes in just to play with the phones (Long hair, looks 16, outside of the fact that im 6 foot 3 inches) and doesn't buy anything. Meh, whatever no biggie. I only go in there whenever I need a new phone or need something fixed, which is to say, like once a year.
Anywho, I messed around with the incredible for about an hour or so and was pretty blown away. I know I said the Sense UI and Moto Blur made little difference to me, but I retract that statement. Ive messed with my dad's droid x for HOURS and the UI never felt PERFECT. Sense does. Its really easy to understand and feels INCREDIBLY smooth. The only draw back is that I can't resize the Widgets, but thats not the end of the world.
I messed with EVERYTHING in the phone and spent a significant amount of time with the camera. The photos looked EXCELLENT on the phone but (after I uploaded them onto facebook) on a desk top they still feel like "camera phone shots". But considering everything else that I got around too, that feature seems less and less important. The camera will do for a simple point and click, pocket camera that I dont have now. I did notice that there was an automatic focus option to be turned off, is there a way to manually focus the camera? If so, that just put this camera WAY above anything else. Im a photography dork so dont mind my enthusiasm.
I messed around with the music player and radio and LOVED both. I completely forgot that it had a radio. That is a big plus too. Now my other question is based on the HTC Music player. I REALLY enjoy the player by HTC but is it possible to transfer my songs (and album art) over to the HTC player from itunes on my Macbook? I know there is a program called double twist, but im not a HUGE fan of that player, especially compared to the HTC one.
Lastly I forgot how much I NEED a GPS. Ill be the first to point out that Im 100% male, as in I always get lost and REFUSE to ask for directions. I messed around with the GPS/google maps navigation (I think thats what its called) and LOVED it. I plugged in my current location (Middle Va.) and set the directions to San Diego (I wanna live there) and it came up super quick and I was super impressed. Course than I hit navigation and it started screaming out directions on full volume in the middle of an empty store...I was embarrassed ha ha. Again one question: Does the google maps/navigation cost any extra to have on the phone or use? Like I said, im male and GPS would be a BIG help for me.
Overall I came away REALLY impressed. Like I was stoked to go in and check it out but I was still a little skeptical. After I walked away, I honestly feel like this is going to be my phone. I REALLY REALLY like it.
Quick edit for pictures...I dunno why, I just wanna show them off. I really like the way the camera performs with close ups and depth of field. Again I wasnt SUPER impressed but for what it was, Im pleased.

why does everyone keep saying bump?

Morning all. I have been catching up on the posts here in the forum and any mention of Apple or it's products has to stop! I feel as strongly as Nmayer does, but I'm a little more fanatical about it! LOL
That comes from being in the computer business as well as an indirect cell dealer for years, so I have seen Apple at it's worst, which I feel is normal for them!
That's all I'll say on the subject since I don't want to alienate anybody. (unless I'm provoked)
Oh, and BUMP!
I give nothing but the most respect for you guys on here.Hey redraptor!
I didn't see your post until I had posted mine or I wouldn't have needed to bump
That being said, I'm glad but not surprised that you are impressed with the Incredible, it is awesome! I love mine and have had a few minor issues that were very correctable.
I can answer the last question easily, there is NO charge for using Google maps or Navigation, that is all part of your data plan.
As for moving your Itunes music to the phone, I believe they have to be converted back to MP3s and I know you'll need non-apple software to do this as Steve Jobs does not like you to leave his universe.
There are several posts on how to do this in the proper forums.
Good Luck! And WELCOME to our world!
We got new people in the Lounge? Welcome one and all n00bs to THE BEST DAMN Thread in the Inc. Forum!!!!
Because the powers that be, in all their wisdom, have removed the "sticky" status of the lounge. So we have to keep posting something to keep the lounge thread at the top of the front page in the forum.(As it should always be) We "BUMP" it up!![]()
I understand, having a local "family owned" shop is always better, whether for PC or Apple. So I can see how easy that would be to get support The problem is, Apple is not licensing anymore small shops, so as they older ones close, they won't replace them. They prefer everything to be done through the "main" company site. That happened in the area I was living in, the few Apple stores closed and if you want anything done on your MAC, you have to ship it to Apple, as they won't even sell parts to independents.
EDIT: Hey Goat! What's up?
HA ha yeap. I be Matt and I've been stuck between getting a Droid X and HTC Inc. I think Im goint with the Incredible. Its VERY impressive, especially since Im used to a little LG Dare. Im hoping to upgrade in about a week or 2.

Sweet, I think that you'll be happy with the Inc. especially since scrren size doesn't appear to be a requirement.

Video is ok but more than what I need it for, and I actually like the camera a lot. As far ad the evo is concerned, it's an ok device, My dad has one (that I talked him into getting) and the phone has lag when switching home screens, even with 2.2. And he has hardly any apps so I know that isn't the cause. I think it has everything to do with Sprints Bloatware.in perfect lighting conditions
)
It definitely is Sprints bloatware. I recently updated my Sister and brother in law's phones to the EVO since they insist on staying with Sprint. And after removing all of Sprints apps that I could, their EVO's are pretty fast. Still not like the Incredible, but much better then stock.
