Droid Incredible Receives New Packaging

"Starting tomorrow, shipments of the Droid Incredible will come pre-loaded with a 2GB SD card and quite possibly new
 
It says "possibly new Droid packaging." No where in that does it confirm that it will come in new boxes, so I wouldn't look too much into it until pictures of the box actually appear.
 
lol, its an HTC plain and simple. I think the "droid" marketing is stupid and thrown on at the last second to get more sales
 
Stupid verizon and the whole droid thing... I refuse to call the Incredible the droid Incredible .. it just sounds stupid. I disagree it is a HTC gimmick that whole droid marketing BS is verizons nonsense.
 
IMHO....the best packaging on an HTC device was the T-mobile HD2! Hey ya never know, the new incredible commercial is pretty bad ass. Some hot kick ass packaging would be cool to go along with it.

Exactly. It's clear from the phone and its original packaging that HTC only intended for the phone to be called the "Incredible", not the "Droid Incredible". This whole Droid thing was a late push by some VZW marketing person, and only now have they managed to adjust the packaging to catch up.
 
I am happy to hear I may be getting a 2gb SD card... This will make that sour 2-3 week waiting taste a little easier to swallow.
I could care less about the packaging. Wrap it in bubble wrap, toss it in an empty shoe box and send it my way... NOW!
 
My boss at work just got his incredible.

It shipped with 2GB micro SD card with a USB adaoter instead of the regualr SD card adapter. Thought it was kind of cool

I got the USB microSD reader too when I received my phone two weeks ago. Was it different before that?
 
As others have said, damn the packaging - with something like this, i tear it open (well, not tear) and forget about it. I may read the manual, and play with the software, but the packaging is worthless past shipping. Just give me the simplest packing that gets it here fastest!

It's the Verizon/Lucasarts effort to force some homogeneity into the Android platform. So instead of everything having completely different names (and thus seeming as totally separate entities), VZW is putting "Droid" at the front of every Android device. Makes them seem like all part of the same family, y'know?

And for the record, my Inc came with a free 2GB card as it was.
