Droid X 2.3 update

thats very nice, congratulations, can you provide some screenshots? granted photoshop is an easy process, so we are trusting your integrity. :)
 
How about settings... about phone...

Android version?
System version?
Kernel version?

Any/all would help.
 
She lives in a different state and is technically challenged. we have been talking (email) about updates I have the Galaxy tab I've been waiting to update (and the incredible 2)
I told her how to check if she has an update ...on her Droid X .. so she checked:
* she emailed me this:

I did not do anything. Does this mean it was done automatically?

That would be Froyo...not Gingerbread.
 
OK. Thanks for the info .. I didn't know either and she knows less than I do :) Guess she still has to 'watch' for gingerbread then.

judging from past performance, it could be longer than that, maybe they've turned over a new leaf? lol, couldn't help myself.
If nothing else, it does lok like GB will be coming to a droidx near you, and the rumor that it won't come to the dx1 sould be alleviated
 
If the DX2 comes out of the box with Froyo, what makes you think that the DX will get official GB first? Honestly, I think this is the hold up.

I agree with your thinking. On another thread somewhere poster mentioned that one of the phones being released on the 26th is coming with GB and Verizon wanted it to be the first one. This threw a flag up for me about the Xs update. Prime example why locked boatloaders are bad.

Let's see paid'ed app's that do not appear,phone restarting all by it self,phone calling people while in my pocket and sitting on coffee table,one time phone just shut down and when I restarted it went into a bootloop. I have not had even one of those problem's on froyo. Every phone act's diff.

There are plenty. Lots of complaints wifi dropping. most obvious bug is that the camera resolution doesn't get saved if changed from default. Everyone has that bug. Very surprised they haven't fixed it in one if the leaks. It's a major bug especially considering that the default isn't optimal for many.

Doesn't Froyo have that camera bug? If so, they aren't going to hold it up for that.
