Droid X 2.3 update

How long CAN everyone speculate about speculation?

BTW: I got the Froyo update on a Friday morning. I went to use the "facilities" and when I had finished my dump, I noted I'd been given another. Go figure..... :eek:

Wait wait, it must be in the form of a question in order to be taken seriously. Add a question mark and you'll be kosher!
 
just thought i'd get a jump-start on it. i'm hoping we actually get it, though i don't know how i could possibly love this machine any more.

Rule #1: NEVER listen to what a VZW rep tells you unless they say, "I honestly don't know."

They come to this board to get info just like anyone else. The company does not communicate software releases with them, sometimes even after they have been pushed.
 
Oh boy, here we go with the, did you get it yet. I just warn you to keep your hopes low, and you won't be disappointed either way. ;)

They'd seriously overload their servers if they tried to deliver the update to everyone at the same time. Presumably they have a computer system that determines when to release the updates to eligible handsets in their database...

Isn't that how they handled the Froyo updates?
 
OP i got my OTA a month or so ago.....oh wait you mean the "official OTA"...yeah i doubt it today. They will probably coordinate the release with the release of the DX2

Ok, so who wants to pick a new release date and start a rumor with that date?

I say it's 5/26.

Probably just as reliable a guess as wherever the 5/13 rumor came from.
