Root Droid X gets stuck when flashing

When I choose the rom and then choose yes, it gets to "installing update..." and then the bar does not move and no new text appears. i have tried this with both Rubix and Apex. I have cleared cached data, factory reset, and cannot figure out what is wrong. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank!

A) How long are you waiting
B) Are you sure you have both droid x bootstrapper and rom manager installed?
C) Are you sure you're even rooted? (I would think so).
