Droid X getting Gingerbread?

I'm sure this has been answered before, but I don't know the answer ;), if we update to 2.3, can we roll back to 2.2.340 if we don't like what we see? I have a feeling the answer is no. But, I'll leave that to the more knowledgable to answer.

Depends if the bootloader gets updated, flashing back the 340 SBF will brick your phone in that instance.

Not really an issue though, as with last update, within a few days there were downgrades packaged with the new bootloader.

Gingerbread will come for the Droid X after a few new phones have come out and your contract is up so you are just in time to update your phone and stay on the Verizon ;)

yup

Edit: From what i'm gathering, it seems like Team Black Hat plans on leaking the build they are messing with to the public

Yep,
They have been getting several builds and the latest must be stable enough for release. It is under testing now. I'll jump as long as it doesn't change the bootloader (unless it is rooted).

yeah, seems as thought they want to really run through this build with testing to see what bugs and quirks they can dig up...ill be keeping my eyes on it for sure...

if the performance they are talking about is legit...and i trust them...then its going to be worth it..

Agree!

Sounds like from the TBH leak you will be able to SBF back to stock and take the OTA whenever it comes. So I am guessing on a leak we should be able to get this rooted.

The bigger question will come when the OTA hits will they change the bootloader.
