Droid X vs. Droid Incredible 8MP Camera Showdown

Love the Hayward Navigator. Let's see how many people know what that is ;)

Looks like the DX has better color and the other has maybe better clarity.

Vizhel, do you still have your Fascinate? (At least I thought you had one).

I'd like to see a three way or a 2 way between the X and Fascinate and/or Incredible and see what happens.

Great comparison and awesome pictures!

Great post, thanks. I didn't have high expectation for the X camera, but still find myself disappointed with the sharpness of most pictures I take with it.

I can see the pictures now. And I definitely agree about the color vs clarity. So is that all from the digital software, or the lens, or both?

EDIT: And thank you to Vihzel for the photo comparison. Those are excellent pictures.

I hope that the whole "Which camera is better?" is settled. I hope that this will be the last thread on it. The Incredible is definitely sharper snapper, but the X produces far more accurate colors and balances exposure a lot better.

Kay.. You do all this and say you hope the battle is over, then you throw in your OPINION as fact.. It was good until you tried to state your opinion as above all others.

However, Nice job on the organization and such. +1

I think it's not an opinion. the Inc is crisper and the X has truer colors.

Viz is saying that they both have their pros and are both good.

My opinion happens to agree with hers here, so it's settled for me. :)

Thanks to google i know what it is now :)
And this is a great comparison. I feel that the X has better pics in the daytime. But the inc had better pics in the dark. esp the car pictures. But they are both great cameras and have come so far since my first camera phone.

Both cameras take awesome pictures and are both worthy in either sense you look at them. But I have to go with the DX,, I just like richer colors in pictures. Great thread by the way.!!!!

I love the way the x does green colors. The grass, trees, and plants look nicer on the x than the Inc. imo. I prefer this because I take lots of nature/landscape photos. Although I have been a little disappointed with the night photos that I have taken on my phone. I think the Inc comes out on top with that.

It is an opinion, I'm just saying the way she presented it is as if it were fact.

Edit: Also, the pics need to be re-uploaded

Not really an opinion, unless your eyes somehow make crisper images blurrier, blurrier images clearer. They're both pretty sharp.

And colors being truer....there's just no way that's opinion.

Fact: The pictures from the Droid X were truer and more accurate to real life as compared to the Droid Inc. Trust me... I was there. A good way to see the difference in color is to look at the ones with the bags of chips... particularly, the Lays. Have you ever seen a Lays bag in which the yellow was so faded? The most obvious is the very last picture at Night where I just take a picture of the dusk sky. The Droid X's blue was what dusk sky actually looks like... not the dark blue from the Inc's shot.

Fact: The Droid X has better exposure balance as compared to the Inc as evidenced by the constant overexposure in daytime that causes an imbalance of color on the Inc.

Fact: The Droid Incredible takes much sharper pictures.

The Samsung Fascinate has the same issues as the Droid Inc. Overexposure and incorrect colors. The only other phone to my knowledge that will produce the same accurate colors as the X is the Apple iPhone 4... and it actually does a tiny bit better job of it.

Both taking "good" pictures, as for cell phones. As to the pictures taking............who cares? If i want good pics, i am using my Pentax. :D

Werd.. People take these way too seriously. Its a simple phone camera, dont be submitting them to Nat Geo anytime soon.

I'll keep my Nikon D80.. time for an update on that too

Those aren't fact, they're opinion.

Also, how did you edit that post two months ago O.o

And, nice Porsche

Do you have evidence to support the latter? I'm just curious as to why you feel that they're just opinions. I'm especially curious regarding color fidelity.

I didn't edit the post. I just upgraded my Photobucket account to Pro. My bandwidth exceeded 10GB so I upgraded to make it Unlimited. :)

And it's not my Porsche. I just found it on top of a car trailer. I wish though it was mine. hehe

How can i get my pictures on the X to be steadier? I am holding it as still as possible and yet still I get some very blurry pics.
