Dropbox: best way to sync files you need on many devices

Linux support by Dropbox won me over. I need 15-20GB of space anyway, but I dropped $100 for a year of 50GB mostly as appreciation for their Linux support.
 
Wow, I just received an email notice from the website I was using. Here's why:

  • requiring disclosure of the Worker's identity or e-mail address, either directly or indirectly
  • requiring registration at another website or group
  • directly or indirectly promoting a site, service, or opinion
  • requiring a Worker to download or install an application
  • generating "referred" site visits or click-through traffic
  • violating the terms and conditions of an activity or website

I didn't get anything when I installed it on my Android phone either. It was not a Rezound though.

I now stand at 18.9GB for a free account with my referrals maxed out.

Registering to Dropbox: 2GB

Getting started: 250MB

Free space: 640MB

Edu: 32 referrals * 500MB = 16GB

TOTAL: 18,89GB (with 1000MB per GB)

Is there anything I'm missing? ;)

That sounds right. I got all that except the space for linking facebook. I had 18.75, then per the htc/dropbox agreement I got 3 gigs, all I did was install it and sign in. Those 3gigs expire after a year though
 
I've had one person sign up to dropbox using the link in my signature, which isn't so good. On the other hand, I'm now on 49/50 on minus :)

Last I checked I was at 47.

I maxed my db, then i maxed out my bosses, and now I'm working on maxing out my better half db, she's at 10gigs

Yes.
Beta version installs right over the existing one. Working perfectly so far. Even works fine with DropSync.

Quick search for iPhone beta didn't find one. iPhone's not worthy.

I feel ya on that. I installed the desktop client and am in the process of auto-syncing the necessary 4.5 gigs of pics to get the extra space
 
In the process of syncing pics as well. I really wish Box.net had a desktop client that you didn't have to pay for. I've got 50 GB there, but I can't use it as my only access is through the browser.

I just got another 500MB by syncing that much pics and videos from my phone :p

Can't figure out for the life of me how to auto-sync with the new desktop beta :(
