Dropbox: best way to sync files you need on many devices

have to run autoplay on a any 'removable media' one of the optios is to 'sync using dropbox' only for pics i think

Not sure, but no way will a federal agency accept any document stored on the web. You require originals or notarized copies. All you can do is keep a record of numbers and other account information.

When you want to leave the country, you must have a passport not a copy of a passport.

Foolish me thought I could copy/paste pictures over there. Did not work out for me. My plan is to use my external backup drive.

You can have different dropbox accounts on different user logins on a computer. Can't get referrals with same ip though

Think I got 500MB left till I'm maxed out
 
so since i already have a work dropbox account on my PC that my co-worker started... (my login)..
i can not have another one that I opened up on my pc (my login). right?

If you want to sync the same stuff to home computer sure. That or create a new login (different email).

You can have your dropbox on as many computers as you want. I sync mine to 4 computers and my phone

wait a sec.. you are not saying that you started today at 2GB and now up to 26.5???
 
i read that the new HTC phones with Sense 4.0..
will have 50GB dropbox built-in!!!!

but.. then I heard it might be only a 1yr trial. then you have to pay to keep access to that 50GB!!!
 
From what I read the same 5GB can be gained by using a desktop beta version. I'll be trying it that way rather than on my phone.

I started with my phone, but then I switched to using the desktop version and it works just as fine. I downloaded two torrents about wallpapers to get more than 500MB of pictures, placed them on my USB drive, "imported" them using dropbox, deleted them, etc.
 
Didn't work for me. I got up to 5 gb total, but it seems to have stopped there and won't sync further. I had 3.5 gb to start out with.

That's what I did. I have well over five gigs of pics on external. I just right clicked it and selected autoplay then used dropbox import option and imported the lot of them

I'm doing this right now. Logged in to my dropbox account and verified I got the extra space even though the files are still syncing over. Sweet.

I'm still eligible for another 500MB (Got the other 4.5GB :D), but it requires 4GB of video/images and 1GB images/video :( I'm not sure how much I have of each, and, I'm not sure I could be bothered.

I also only have one referral left :( Still, 22.8GB is fairly good going...
