dropped EVO in toilet =/

So, somehow my brother dropped my phone into the toilet :(, I immediately took out the battery, dried it and let it sit in rice overnight. After about a day of the phone siting in rice, I put in the battery and turn it on. The phone turns on and is usable but the screen gets very dark and starts to flicker, then goes black. Weirdest thing is that the touch screen works it goes black after 2-3 sec. Anyone got any ideas of what I should do or should I just return it for a new one?

Sorry that happened. Did you opt for the insurance on it?

It does sound like the device is damaged, if you left it in dry rice over night and it is showing hardware issues.

If it were mine, I'd head to the store with it for a replacement.

good thing i do have insurance, i just wanna c if i can fix it before returning it.

Yeah.. don't go snooping around on your own b/c then you'll just ruin your chances of having it fixed for free or receiving a new one for free.

Aren't you supposed to let it dry longer than that? I always thought that it was a couple days.

I would have left it out to dry naturally for a week, but since you put it in dry rice, that should have sped up the process quite a bit (at the expense of the rice).

Do take it back to the retailer and see if they can fix it for you.
