Easter Weekend

I hope everyone has a great Easter weekend. I haven't anything planned this year. My son is in the middle of a refinery shutdown and will be working. So... we will not get to see the great grandkids hunt eggs this year. I'll likely smoke something Sunday. Rain is in the forecast for both Saturday and Sunday with a chance of storms. It just can't seem to rain here anymore so it will not likely mess up any egg hunting plans.
I hope you have something fun planned for the weekend. Be safe if you travel and I hope you share some time with treasured friends and or family.

We live in a house of wife's family's generational farm. Her mom and dad live in the farm house and her sister and BIL (and 18 month old) live in another house. In this area family is close. So, likely it's going to be an Easter with fam after Church, celebrating the resurrection.

No new plans at the olbriar ranch. We will just be hanging out this weekend.
I plan to smoke some hot spiced cashews tomorrow. I'm smoking a meatloaf Sunday. Rain is looking pretty promising for the weekend so staying home will not be all bad.

So the tax deduction daughter is in town from University and we went to wife's parents for steaks and mash. Tomorrow we go to early mass and are doing just a low key lunch as daughter must head back to University as she has a 4 and 1/2 hour drive. Happy Easter Gents

We love chuck roast. It makes a good meal with a veggie and there is always some left over with just the two of us. It is excellent meat for bbq beef sandwiches, beef fajitas, stir fry, beef n noodles... the list is only limited by your imagination. It's a value even with it's current inflated price.

That's excellent! My son earned his way with scholarships and one of my daughters eased the pain with her scholarships and grants. One daughter married and another only did two years and quit. Any financial help is monumental. Good on your daughter for helping earn her way.

You wouldn't complain if she was a leech like so many nowadays. You love em and you provide the best you can. That's how it works.

Got a cute hosting plant from my sister, only requires mist and air to survive.
We exchanged gifts, I got her yogurt covered pretzels and jelly bellys,
we had Ham with asparagus wrapped in bacon, with mash potatos and pianana salad for Easter Dinner.
