My daughters friend did the something similar. the phone was rooted with shabbymod. I sent it to samsung for him and they fixed the phone under warranty. It took about 3weeks total. No problem.

what's up everyone, i got my phone back today from samsung. they fixed it for free.
now i have a question. i'm preparing to put that 187mod on my phone... it's advising me to do a full backup... how do i do a full backup of my phone system? glad to be back in the android community. thanks again to everyone for all the help!

Use CWM to do a backup. Make sure you have the newest version, it backs up the boot partition as well as everything else.

If you havent installed it, then you dont have it yet. Head over to the ClockWorkMod Recovery thread and follow the steps there.

I really like your ROM. My question is, what's up with the crazy "language symbols" and how do I get all that stuff into english? I noticed it in the 360 launcher, (not sure where else it is like that) I don't know what language that is but I definately can't read it. Thumbs up to you ROM though. Any ideas?

Thanks a lot. The problem is the,launcher I used was originally done in chinese and had to be translated into english. All of the translation have not been fully completed, which is why the 360widgets are like that. I included Fancy Widgets as a replacement until the full translation of the launcher is completed.

Try installing it like a normal app. As for the notification dropdown, what did you have in mind?
oh, idk, i was just wondering if there was a way to change how transparent it is. it don't cause me any problems, not saying that. i've been trying to talk my wife in to letting me install your rom on her phone but she don't like how transparent it is. i LOVE your rom, it is awesome!
