Root Emoji

I, sadly, have many iPhone user friends (more Android than iPhone lol) and they usually text and tweet with emoji icons. I don't want to install another SMS client as the stock SMS/MMS app for MikG v3 is great and what I wanted. Is there something out there that will allow me to see the new iOS 5 emoji on my phone?

Not without changing the app I use GoSMS but have Not received a text from an iPhone user.

Also handcent has a plugin for emoji smileys.
These 3rd party messaging apps really work great. You can theme them, change all kinds of settings the stock app won't let you use, etc.
Try one out, you can always delete it and go back to stock.

I'm aware of the SMS clients. I've used every single one out there. Handcent being my favorite out of them all. They just seem to run a little more in the background than any of my other apps, so I just uninstall them.

I'm not 100% sure you can get emoji's on the stock app then. I guess you could modify the framework files to "look" like emoji smiles.
