I've read more than one post/reply that states i-phone users are VW-driving %%@#$s.

Hey, I have 3 VWs(like 6 total over the years) and I have never owned an Apple product. Well, the kids did get an i-pod one Christmas. Most of our VWs have been diesels ;)

If anything, please call them....................... Prius owners :rolleyes:

I'd check out a VW diesel especially if you do any highway driving. Awesome vehicles. We average 41-42 mpg. 50 highway. No extra stuff to go wrong. No expensive batteries to replace when the time comes. The Jetta is a nice-sized car too. Passat even bigger.

I get passed by more $%#! VW drivers than any other car.

They're driving too fast to see if they're talking on an iPhone tho. :D
 
Here in Hawaii, diesel costs $4.50 - $4.70 a gallon vs. under $4 a gallon for regular gas. So I'll take the 40 something miles per gallon of the hybrid gas Prius V over the VW diesel TDI.

Granted, the VW diesel TDI would be a heck of a lot more fun to drive. ;)

And getting worse MPG due to E85 having a lower energy density than gasoline! What a score! PFFFFFT to ethanol, the E10 that they sell as gasoline in Oregon sucks, I noticed a drop in MPG when it became mandatory. And the only reason E85 is cheap like that is because it's subsidized by the government by your tax dollars.

I'll take straight gasoline with direct injection, please! Looking at the Hyundai Veloster for my next car. Direct gasoline Injection, and gets 28 city/40 highway with none of that extra hybrid crap. Looks cool too, and has lots of interior space. Of course, I'll have to see the specs on the turbo model when it comes out before I make my final decision!

We spend $50 billion a year to patrol and offer assistance to the Middle East and we've been doing that for 30 years. We're not doing it b/c we're nice people, it's to protect our source of fuel. The defense department is subsidizing your gasoline. When these hidden costs are added, your $3 gas becomes $5.28.

Ethanol is grown by US farmers, not terrorists trying to bleed us poor or kill us.

If you think gasoline isn't subsidized a LOT more than ethanol, you're delusional.

I'm not forcing E10 on you (E10 is the worst blend btw), I'm just stating what I want. FWIW, E30 you would like... about 30 cents cheaper, similar mileage to E0 and smells a lot better. :D

BTW, direct injection greatly improves the loss of mileage from ethanol (and I love my hybrid).

I've never seen any connection with VW drivers and iPhone users. Just ignore those people that say that because they're speaking without thinking. ;)

Anyways... I more often think Prius driver and iPhone owner go hand in hand. They just have them because it is the "cool" thing.

Sure there are Prius drivers that have the car for real reasons like saving money on gas (even though it usually isn't worth it in reality, but they don't look at the big picture) just like there are people that have the iPhone because they have a Mac, iPad, and apple tv and everything works together.
 
At least now we can confirm that VW drivers are thin skinned Nancy boys.

I'll take a 1950 VW Sedan. I'll even admit to loving the VW Thing. The 1960 VW Sedans are cool, too. I was considering a Panel Delivery at one point.

Interestingly enough, I recently made an offer on a restored Karmann Giga.

No sir, Bob will never hammer VWs. Some are very, very cool.

I think the new ones lack class, however. Just not cool enough. Like a new Harley Vs. a classic Panhead or Knucklehead, new is just not cool enough for me.
 
I drove my VW Type 3 Fastback for six years. One of the best cars I ever owned. Gave it to a friend and he took care of it and drove it for another 3 or 4 years, then slid off the road and totaled it. Sad. Yeah yeah, he was injured, but not seriously until I got ahold of him.

:rolleyes: make sure you check for terrorists under the bed and in the closet before you go to sleep at night.
