Eris 2.1 leak Bug's and Fixes

I don't belive thats an actual warez site... just freeware site, haven't seen any "paid" stuff hacked for redistribution on that site. The point of this type of website and many other version tracking sites is to collect valid software and their previous versions. Which is legal and fair. IF you don't like the latest version you can just stay put with an older version.

I thought it was a legitimate site also. In fact it was a reccomeded by another android site that I get feeds from through techbuzz as a place to find apps that may not be available on the market. I had bookmarked it the other day and thought of doing a quick search there to find Chomp. Either way I do like the idea of getting it from the developer in hopes of getting the most current version and showing support even if it's free.

I have to be honest, I had Advanced Task Killer on my phone when it was 1.5, and again when I upgraded to 2.1. After doing some reading on why you shouldn't use one, I thought I'd un-install it and see how it runs without it. Well, it runs well enough that I now consider "task killers" a useless app. My phone's never been faster since I STOPPED using the task killer.

explain? what aftermarket app's do you have? i download a lot of app's and it seems if i open a bunch then go to task killer i barely have any free memory available. my phone starts to go slow then i am like ughh i have to open it up and kill all or kill certain things. i tried going with out it but it just seemed like the phone was always getting laggy. i understand not everything is running in the background but i'd like to know how to make it run as smooth and flawless as possible. thanks for any tips your about to unleash

Plus all the stock apps, and I'm adding more as I read through the forums, as there's always something cool to try out. So far, knock on wood, I've had ZERO problems with anything, other than the Gmail sign in issue that other's report.

I think the biggest single issue is not using the "back" button to exit out of apps, and using the "Home" button instead. Once I started backing out of apps I have had no problems with anything. YMMV...

Really dumb question probably....but now that 2.1 has been installed, do I still need to keep the PB000IMG folder on my SD card, or can I delete it?

What is your free memory on phone?

It's Caddyman, BY. Delete it...

BTW, I deleted mine last Saturday after my reset/reinstall/reprogram, and 2.1 is as solid as bedrock.

Really? Straight out of the folder, I can just delete the whole thing, and clear up 107 MB on my phone?

If I have a problem with the phone after deleting it Caddy....:p

I don't think this authentication is a bug rather done on purpose to protect the user. May not be a bad thing. Is annoying though. So not a bug is my opinion.
Do Nexus One users have to login at every reboot ? What about other 2.1 users ? If the don't, I'd question if it's "by design".

anyone every think the 2.1 leak is just a leak version to steal your info on your phone? lol just kidding my boss did say that to me. he was like think about doing that shit to your phone because sometimes you can get some nasty crap on your phone to steal your info. like rooting phones or doing updates that aren't offical?

That ZIP is only used when you force the phone into 'htboot' mode. Your phone has NOT used that file a single time since you updated to 2.1.

Yeah, thought about it but it came from a trusted source of Acid's so good enough for me.

Since having my calendar awake time issues I have stopped the calendar sync and noticed when I reboot I don't get asked. Someone want to stop the auto sync on their calendar reboot and confirm? Might be a clue to my issue and be a fix for the login issue.
