After upgrading some of the pictures associated with my phone contacts were deleted..do you know how restore the images? I've already linked the contacts to their facebook profiles but some of my contacts still won't show the profile picture.

I'm having the same problem. We got about 2-3 more weeks of the quarter left. I hope 2.1 final testing is going well.

Maybe someone who's been with VZW for a couple of product cycles can answer this - when the OTA occurs will there be a revised User's Guide? If so, I wonder if that is the reason it hasn't been rolled out yet. (We all know how slow those tech writers are...)

VZW generally has their sh*t together and coordinating these two things isn't rocket science, so I highly doubt they don't have an updated user guide ready to go.

The reason they haven't released 2.1 is obviously clear to those who have it or have used it: It simply ain't ready.

I agree. It definitely wasn't ready when WE got it..

Maybe not, but it hasn't been horrible. I am still glad that I have it, and I am sure a lot of others are as well.

Or -- and I think this is far closer to the truth -- the upgrade itself is ready, but they haven't figured out a bulletproof OTA installation yet.

The battery isn't much better. May be a little better but nothing too dramatic. If you're thinking of getting the extended battery I would get it because you won't really see any difference.

I bought the slim extended life seidio battery and it failed hardcore. I get like.. half the life on that one that I get with the stock battery. Contacting Seidio today for a replacement.

It's definitely a defective battery. I just ordered mine from amazon the other day and since it's on backorder I'll be lucky if I get it before the official OTA, but I saved like $15 so I'm pretty happy.

My battery life with the 2.1 leak is much better than before. I unplugged my phone at 6:00 AM this morning, and it is now 9:00 PM and i still have 72% battery life left. I only used it pretty lightly today, but with the same usage on 1.5, I would only have about 40% left.

FYI - I know how everyone hates on VZW employees as ignorant country-folk, but I went into the store today and asked about the 2.1 OTA, and they said they were hearing it would be "in the first part of Q2, even though we were supposed to be doing it in Q1."

Given that they were knowledgeable enough to know the previous deadline, I think they are at least telling the truth about what's going around the rumor mill.

I agree. Mine is much better than the stock battery. I have no problem making it through the day anymore with more use.

and give them time to clean up the new 2.1, and make it unrootable.

There have been a few different places saying that 2.1 would not come until the beginning of Q2. I guess we have 16 days left to find out. As long as it works properly, I guess.
