I got my daughter a cell when she was 10. She's very responsible though and I monitor her usage and trust her. She just turned 15 last week and she's got an nv2 with a 1000 text limit and she averages around 250/month. Her two year is up in a few months and she wants a Rogue. I'll probably get it for her with no complaints as she makes all A's in school and like I said, I trust her. I really like her having a phone simply because I DON'T trust anybody else, unfortunately.

edit: Financial analyst that sits in front of a PC all day. I run through three different forums first thing in the morning, can start work at 8 (Office Space), at lunch, and then around 4pm. I rarely get on the laptop at home in the evenings.

After seeing all the posts of 30+ I am very apprehensive at that thought of revealing that I am 14. ... but i will be 14 and a half in 2 weeks.. HONEST! :D

Great; I like seeing a wide age range in forums like this. We're all learning together.

I'm 56.
I get a laugh when younger kids say that someone my age is too old to be using smart phones, computers, PS3, etc. One needs to remember that people my age were the original pioneers of these technologies, so it's not like we are foreign due to age. I went to college in 1981 to get a degree in computer science. It didn't even exist at the school yet! Shortly after that, they hired a professor from Stanford and I was on my way. My computer back then had a hard drive with a whopping 64 megabytes - just under one 16th of a gigabyte! I was also a pioneer in the communications area. I had one of the very first pagers. It was the size of a TV remote. Then I got a phone with a cord from the hand piece to a case that hung from my shoulder with a battery in it that weighed about 6 pounds and an antenna that was about 6 feet long. Yeah I am old, but don't equate old with ignorant or stupid. Old people have a lot of knowledge stored up that we gain as we grow old. You'll see. By the way, I had every video game system that existed since pong. I even called in sick after staying up all night to play Asteroids on the day it came out because the graphics were so cool. It was basically black and white with maybe a color here and there as the graphics moved. Just imagine what will exist when you all are "old". Yeah. Today's technology will be laughable then. I picture 3D holographic phone systems all voice activated and implanted under our skin because it will only be as big as half a BB. Android will be nothing but a memory long forgotten.

Same, I'm only 15 and I got my first phone the first year of Middle School and my first smart phone was the Samsung Instinct (piece of crap) in the 8th grade. Yes, I am a very technologically advanced child. :D

My first was a Moto Krave, Shared with my brother. Just recently broke off that for the Eris :D.

i turned 26 today!

Happy Birthday!

My youngest (Jr in College) has a BB storm also stepson, they told me Dad! your way behind the times, so I have to remind them that I was working on phone systems just a little before thier time. So here I am using it to play games. Just dont want to tell my clients that I am able to check e-mail during the day now.
